Hey. I nearly did it.

Then the trigger finger broke.

Oh well. It was an interesting experiment.

Awesome work FR!!!

One point though, you might not want the peg holding them one to be eraser too. I'd go with a double male plug (either wooden or metal doll stick) and carve a hole in the hands to match it. Otherwise you might go to pull 'em off one day and end up with the pegs still in the arms.

Thanks guys.

The thought did occur to me to use something like whittled wood as a connector.

It was when I was trying to squeeze it in the hole that I broke the finger.

I had already nicked it early in the creation process and in the end there was just not enough rubber. (yes I'm aware of how that sounds and I'm smiling too) ;)

I might fix up the hand using a cut down pin to reconnect the finger.

Though since I've decided to go for a set of Rohby re-casts, It would purely be for the intellectual exercise.

I know this is a old thread. Have anyone notice that the first version Yamato Valkyrie VF-1S Roy, non-perfect transformation Focker hand
is perfectly for Yamato 1/48. I tried it to hold my Angel Birds 1/48 gun and it holds it perfectly. It´s a shame that is grey and not white like

the Angel birds, otherwise I will mod it to fit.

Fixed pose hands should be standard for all valkyrie toys. A pair of fists, a relaxed pose left hand, a holding gun right hand and pair of saluting hands.

Maybe the DX hands will work? The articulated DX hands seem good enough that I won't need to use the fixed pose hands for it.

This is an older pic of my Hikaru 1S's, the 1/48 is using V.2 1/60 fixed pose hands, they work out really good IMO.
