Bout time!  Now all the customs can begin! ^_^ A little surprised that there's no 19S/F first, but I'm not going to complain.

I never got brave enough to rework my Yamatos, but the tolerances at this scale should be a little more forgiving to do some repaints, and make some custom wings to kitbash a couple of black and white VF-19Fs.

Bring it on!  I need a half dozen to experiment with.

This actually makes perfect sense.  Other than the head and the addition of the speaker fins on the shoulder pauldrons, the unit is identical to the Fire Valk.  I may get this but I'm really interested in the Emerald Force's S and F Blazer variants.

Was expecting this since the VF-19 has holes in its shoulders for the 19P speaker pods.

I think they also dual-purposed them for the soundbooster mounting bracket, but yeah, this was absolutely a no-brainer.  Considering the lack of releases in the past few months, I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner.

Oh I haven't messed with the sound booster yet so I didn't know the holes were for that. Seems kinda janky to me when pretty everything is just a copy of the Yamato 19.

Welcome news indeed.
I guess many missed out on 1/60 VF-19P, but also great news for those who have it. :good:

yeah i missed it when it was on sale at jungle long time back. Still stings cos after that it seldom popped up and then the price climbed...

I haven't either, just recalling what I read.

Thing is, they didn't copy Yamato's sound booster, they just popped out another production of the original HM version, so the Yamato bracket design wouldn't work.  They just skipped a step by never making Fire Valk-specific shoulder panels.

In a sense, I'm glad it's a Hi-metal R so that I don't feel the need to buy it. If it was their DX line though, all bets are off. It does look cool though.

I don't know, it is fun to have on the desk at work.

That's one of the big benefits to these for me, they're much easier to display in cramped spaces, and I don't feel so protective of them that I don't want to leave them on my desk at work.

It's also a lot less work to customize them compared with the Yamato. ^_^
