BlueMax Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (edited) This is somewhat unexpected, I’ve always thought the Emerald force would be priority, but I guess this is way more logical from a mild retooling standpoint. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02qQZjyz7pxih8wobgHvdvmnMNNHRK7NeKyr3CiWxCUTq2KXS9y8HWnUQZEqZ4opcAl&id=61556322872381 Edited April 3 by BlueMax Quote
rsvictor1976 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Has Bandai released a Macross toy unexpectedly like this? Literally coming out in a week. Quote

Chronocidal Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Bout time! Now all the customs can begin! A little surprised that there's no 19S/F first, but I'm not going to complain. I never got brave enough to rework my Yamatos, but the tolerances at this scale should be a little more forgiving to do some repaints, and make some custom wings to kitbash a couple of black and white VF-19Fs. Bring it on! I need a half dozen to experiment with. Quote
m0n5t3r Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Yay! One of the valks on my HMR wishlist. I hope the 3 M+ valks are next... or VF-25s. Quote
strikevalk Posted April 3 Posted April 3 so awesome. hopefully the VF-17 is somewhere in the que! Quote
mechaninac Posted April 3 Posted April 3 This actually makes perfect sense. Other than the head and the addition of the speaker fins on the shoulder pauldrons, the unit is identical to the Fire Valk. I may get this but I'm really interested in the Emerald Force's S and F Blazer variants. Quote
MKT Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Welcome news indeed. I guess many missed out on 1/60 VF-19P, but also great news for those who have it. Quote
Sanity is Optional Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Sweet! Been wanting the Yamato for a while, but this will do instead! Quote
PointBlankSniper Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Not planning to get this, probably... but more pretty pics of this to flood the interwebs is great news for the eyes and wallet. Quote
Lolicon Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Was expecting this since the VF-19 has holes in its shoulders for the 19P speaker pods. Quote

I think they also dual-purposed them for the soundbooster mounting bracket, but yeah, this was absolutely a no-brainer. Considering the lack of releases in the past few months, I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. Quote
sh9000 Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Sweet. Solid color stands too. Although I'll continue to use my clear stands instead. Quote

Seems kinda janky to me when pretty everything is just a copy of the Yamato 19. Quote

Still stings cos after that it seldom popped up and then the price climbed... Quote

Thing is, they didn't copy Yamato's sound booster, they just popped out another production of the original HM version, so the Yamato bracket design wouldn't work. They just skipped a step by never making Fire Valk-specific shoulder panels. Quote
Jasonc Posted Friday at 08:03 PM Posted Friday at 08:03 PM In a sense, I'm glad it's a Hi-metal R so that I don't feel the need to buy it. If it was their DX line though, all bets are off. It does look cool though. Quote

Chronocidal Posted Saturday at 12:10 AM Posted Saturday at 12:10 AM That's one of the big benefits to these for me, they're much easier to display in cramped spaces, and I don't feel so protective of them that I don't want to leave them on my desk at work. It's also a lot less work to customize them compared with the Yamato. Quote
mikeszekely Posted Saturday at 01:49 AM Posted Saturday at 01:49 AM I skipped the Fire Valkyrie as I prefer my valks to not have faces, but I'm solidly in for this. Especially if the speaker pods are removable. Quote

Graham Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago So happy that the HMR VF-19P is coming with a GU-15 gunpod, instead of a re-colored Speaker Pod Launcher or even worse, no gunpod. But even though I recently re-watched Dynamite 7 on D+, I can't remember if we actually saw the VF-19P with a gunpod. Will have to have a look again. Quote

Froy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Judging by the mold of the gunpod, is there a chance of a VF-19S of F? I don't put mi hopes on a YF-19 if Bandai doesn't comes with a descent YF-21. Releasing just a YF-19 wouldn't make any sense. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago Maybe they already have VF-19F & S in the pipeline . Quote
