Aurel Tristen Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Does anyone have any solid data on this destroid yet ??? I.E. size, height, weight, speeds, etc ??? No specs or detailed information have been published for this mecha.... and its has not been designated 'variable destroid'... simply Octos for now When new information is available it can be found here: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat/vari/octos.html Quote
Jester Posted February 7, 2004 Author Posted February 7, 2004 I never called it a Variable Destroid, you did. I just referred to it as a Destroid. Quote
the white drew carey Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 I never called it a Variable Destroid, you did. I just referred to it as a Destroid. Umm... did you happen to read what you wrote in the topic title? Quote
Jester Posted February 7, 2004 Author Posted February 7, 2004 DOH !!!! Bloody habit of writing Variable every other word. LOL I was only looking at the text. My day tends to consist of posts something like this: "..........the Variable Fighter shudders as it hits the planets atmosphere........." "Mina's VF-11 Variable Fighter bucks wildly in the shockwave of the Zaubergeran's missile attack....." "Your Variable Fighter is prepped and ready to go Lieutenant" As you can see over at the Macross RPG Community Im often writing Variable or Variable Fighter a dozen times a day Quote
daeudi Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 Has there been ANY line art of this thing published yet? Quote
Aurel Tristen Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 To my knowledge not yet... perhaps soon. Quote

"Your Variable Fighter is prepped and ready to go Lieutenant" As you can see over at the Macross RPG Community Im often writing Variable or Variable Fighter a dozen times a day geeze man, if your writing a story, you only really need to establish once that the fighter is a variable vehicle. if you write everytime the tech specs the story is going to feel cold. ie: if you're at a point in a story where "mina" is dodging missle fire and such you're just slowing down the action by getting into what model fighter she is in. if its so important then is probably been covered elswhere, you realy don't want to pull the audience out of the action by getting into the exact nature of the vehicles they're in. "Mina is bucked about wildly as her fighter is hit by the shockwave of a missle volley" or something. just a thought. back on topic though, what show is this "octos destroid" from?
