He-Man was such a big character growing up, and Morris the cat was so iconic that as a kid I had an orange one named after him.

You know you're getting old when the actors and performers of shows and various media start to pass away. This just sorta puts a period in it for me.

I was never a MotU fan, but I definitely remember Morris the Cat. Unfortunately, time inexorably marches on and we continue to lose those who made impacts on us through their talented contributions to various media. After doing some reading, apparently Mr. Ervin was quite shy and reclusive; despite coaxing by Skeletor VA Alan Oppenheimer to join him at fan conventions, Mr. Ervin declined and never did attend one. I hope he knew, at least by anecdote, how much his bringing Prince Adam/ He-man to life meant to his many fans. Gone but not forgotten. RIP

Where does forty years go?  

I remember He-man and the Masters of the Universe was an afternoon staple.
