Big s Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I’ll always remember Eraserhead. Oddly the making of was chaotically entertaining for that one. Twin Peaks was a series that was way different from anything else on TV at the time. He was very creative in his work

Man, that would have been interesting to see. Still, I liked DUNE (1984) for its David Lynch weirdness.

I know Lynch himself disavowed the movie, but my wife and I found it super entertaining. I was a bit braced for this particular celebrity passing - Lynch made a video a few months back describing his emphysema and explaining he couldn't go outside - but it still hits pretty hard. Pretty much every movie, TV show, and music video that he's done, I've really enjoyed.
Shawn Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I read the Alien 3 book treatment right before the movie came out, and I remember being disappointed leaving the theater, because so much was missing (capturing the Dragon scene in particular) Decades later I watched the Alien 3 Assembly cut with the footage restored and it quickly went back into one of my favorite Alien movies. He was an amazing director.

It has more character in style and acting than the remake. Plus it had a great soundtrack and was more meme worthy too. I appreciate and enjoy the past and new DUNE films for the era of film art that they are.
