Who left Superman for Witcher, tried to get back to Superman and was kicked off to Warhammer 40k. On the bright side for Cavill, he was getting too old for Supes, he was unhappy on Witcher and Warhammer is waiting with open arms. Hollywood maybe a Pinball Machine, but all that matters is where you land. Quote

He’s either too early or way too late, but maybe this time around he’ll be in the right suit at the right time on prime in his prime Quote
Thom Posted January 27 Posted January 27 What's wrong with his right eye during that last close up? Quick, someone tweak that in post! Quote

Dynaman Posted Thursday at 10:37 PM Posted Thursday at 10:37 PM Still looking good for my return to the theater. Miss Tessmocker has a place... Quote
azrael Posted Thursday at 11:00 PM Posted Thursday at 11:00 PM Anyone who's had a dog or played with a dog...will recognize Krypto. Even a small 10-15lb dog jumping on you with all their weight concentrated on those little legs knows. Quote

TangledThorns Posted Friday at 04:16 PM Posted Friday at 04:16 PM Not as excited for this as I was after seeing Man of Steel's trailers. I'll wait for the reviews. Quote
jvmacross Posted Friday at 06:03 PM Posted Friday at 06:03 PM Saw the extended preview trailer during the Minecraft movie last night....looks ok, but they are hyping it up too much for its own good.... Quote

I’m kinda the opposite. Something about this one feels a bit different and with how bad Man of Steel ended up, this one fills me with hope to finally get another “good” Superman movie after almost half a century Quote
Dynaman Posted Friday at 09:23 PM Posted Friday at 09:23 PM I can't remember exactly what it was about Man of Steel that makes me think I was not looking forward to it. It was one of three possibilities. 1 - I thought "ANOTHER" intro story? 2 - I thought the guy from Superman Returns should have had another shot at the role. 3 - Perhaps it was just the movie itself tainted my memories of it from before I saw it. The movie itself was a letdown. Quote

The first was entertaining but too much of a redo, though I liked that it was a continuation of the Reeve version and not just another reboot. I would loved to have seen it get some legs under it and tell a new story. Oh well... At least we did get Kingdom Come Superman... Quote

And, at the risk of quoting myself, a better suit than this new version... One thing that need to go before finally showing this in theater - get rid of Krypto jumping all over a wounded Superman! The first teaser built up this dramatic moment of Supes being hurt - badly! - and now it's a comic punch-line..? This is what I am afraid of seeing more of, dramatic moments being one-upped with a joke. Most of everything else I've seen (except for the eye thing) is looking good - just dump that! Quote

He showed up, Supes said take me home, and Krypto dragped him home. Quick, neat and simple. 'Who's a good boi?!' If it is left in, then that seriously undercuts expectations of Supes facing a dire threat if the drama is not allowed to grow. It suffers crib-death. Quote

Krypto is supposed to be intelligent in the comics; I don't think he would jump all over a wounded Kal-El like that. I had been ready to spend money on this one; now, I think I'll just wait for my local library to get it on DVD. Quote

As soon as he realized Kal-El is injured he stops jumping and gets serious. Having a Dachshund that FIRST jumps all over us whenever she sees us I can see a dog doing just what Krypto does. Quote

While not a dog owner, I have babysat and played with dogs who act exactly like Krypto. I’ve seen the “OMG! HI!”, as they put their full weight on you, the “ ‘Sup”, sniff you and walk away, to the “Who the eeeffff are you!!!!” with barking all the way. Krypto reminds me of a couple of dogs. And dogs do realize when you’re acting differently. Quote
