Valkyrie Hunter D Posted November 8 Posted November 8 It was recently announced that Mass Effect has gotten the green light for production. I love the games (just the 1st three), but the production team mentioned in the article leads to me believe it'll be a toss-up if the show will be a hit. Quote
TangledThorns Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Too bad I ain't watching it as I cancelled my PRIME membership last month. lol Quote
Thom Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Alright! I was thinking a little while ago that it would be nice to see a series in that universe. Yes, a little of a mixed bag creatively, but I liked Daredevil/JJones/Uncharted and the Ghost in the Shell movie. A little less Fast/Furious would be good. Plus, I liked Rings of Power and Wheel of Time (to varying degrees,) so more than likely I am least to be entertained. Now, if they get a gorgeous FemShep for the lead! Quote

I guess it's a fair guess the author makes in suggesting the show will center on a whole new main character seeing as how every player has their own ideal Shep in appearance and demeanor. Quote
Big s Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I still think Prime has a pretty good ratio between good and bad shows compared to the other streaming services and especially D+. It will probably be a good show. They really only have one big turd of a show and that’s Rings of Power. As long as they don’t make those massive mistakes, then it will probably be a good or even great show Quote

Plus, PRIME screwed up a few orders for me in the months before I cancelled. Missed out on really good Prime Day deals that couldn't be delivered and PRIME didn't want to re-ship the products I ordered at the price I paid. Their customer support was helpless. Quote

Personally I think that one must watch show every couple months is the biggest problem with these streaming services. The price has gone up per subscription and the amount of shows seems to have slowed. Most of the shows on Netflix are just tv shows they acquired from somewhere else and Amazon is pretty similar. I can easily see why people are dropping streaming services. I always forget about P+ because nobody seems to have it and the only things I think I’d be interested in is Beavis and Butthead and maybe the newer Southpark stuff and old stuff like Ren and Stimpy. D+ excited me when it first came out and I really feel extremely let down by that one. They just kinda gave up on writers and their shows suffer for it and not enough movies get added. I haven’t seen anything great on there in a while. I keep fooling myself into keeping it and really should drop it. Max is another one that gets pretty great shows, even if they all seem to come from HBO. I don’t have cable, so I kinda pretend they’re originals. And they do get some good movies as far as orders, I really haven’t had any problems. My lady did though with a recent set. They sent one of the boxes to my neighbor. The man of the house is an elder drunk and probably was wasted when the box came in. My lady had called and dealt with customer service and luckily they just resent the items. Once my neighbors lady came back from a trip she realized the mistake and gave me a call to pick up the original box, so we ended up with double items. At least in our case they made things right by resending, but it made my lady so mad that she didn’t want to ship the other stuff back. Quote
