no3Ljm
ThreeZero is venturing into the production of small-scale vehicles, debuting with the absolutely iconic Rick Deckard's Police Spinner from the classic noir sci-fi movie sequel, Blade Runner 2049! Deckard's Police Spinner is 3.7 inches (about 9.4 cm) long, with a die-cast zinc alloy chassis. The solid construction not only adds a substantial feel to the compact body, but also enhances the overall strength of the product. The vehicle's exterior features the police markings as seen in the film, with threezero's signature weathering paint effect to authentically recreate the look of a vehicle that has endured the ravages of rain, pollution, and time while Deckard is in hiding in the harsh future environment. The vehicle's two scissor-style doors can open vertically, revealing the intricate details of the cockpit interior. The two front wheels are retractable, and the front wheel covers on the sides can rotate 90 degrees to recreate the Spinner's iconic flight-mode capabilities. All four wheels are fully functional and can turn. tekering
ThreeZero's promotional material begs a few questions: 1 hour ago, no3Ljm said: ThreeZero is venturing into the production of small-scale vehicles Okay, great. Exactly what scale is this "small-scale" vehicle? Could you define that for us? 1 hour ago, no3Ljm said: Rick Deckard's Police Spinner from the classic noir sci-fi movie sequel, Blade Runner 2049! Why are you pretending this is from 2049, when it's clearly from the original 1982 Blade Runner? You're even using a background still from the original film as your primary promotional image (the PAN AM logo is a dead giveaway)... Is this some kind of attempt to skirt around copyright issues? 🤨

I guess if you take the actual length of the vehicle and divide it by 3.75 inches then you get your answer. Dammit Tek, I’m a collector and amateur model builder not a Mathematician. Hiriyu
Sounds like it's probably somewhere between 1/48 and 1/43 scale, but I don't know how long a Spinner is and can't really be bothered to look it up. Neat looking model though anyway!

Neat looking model though anyway! I was actually checking some Fujimi 1/24 Spinner kit over Youtube since I can't find official dimension of the said car. And based on the rubber mat used on those videos I've found, I estimated the width of the kit is somewhere between 3.5 to 3.75 inches. Length on the other hand is kind of tricky so I'm guessing between 8 to 9 inches. If the said kit is scaled accurately to the actual model, using 8.5 inches as a midpoint of 8-9 inches to get the actual size and scale it towards ThreeZero's, the scaling will end up as 1/54 to 1/55. It basically looks a little bigger than hot wheels, but not by a lot and if someone else really wants to find out the real scale, it wouldn’t take much work, but I just don’t feel like doing homework right now
tekering
Fine, I'll do it myself. 🙄 A length 184¼″±1½″ can be interpolated from the original blueprints, based on the stated 10′ 0″ wheelbase. The blueprints state the width as 8′ 1″. The Medicom versions I have are just over 10 inches, making them a reliable 1:18th scale, meaning the ThreeZero works out to 1:48th scale. 🔒
MKT
Quite interested in this. Having spinners from both the original and 2049 would be cool. Another item I wish someone would tackle, other than resin kits, would be the Bubbleship from Oblivion.
electric indigo
It's the OG Spinner with the 2049 slapped on for licensing reasons I guess. The prop in 2049 didn't have the little vents on the aft of the wheel covers 🤓 The Medicom Spinner in all black is the best way to enjoy the design IMO. They both sit on my desk at my office that I rarely visit, lol.

Now TZ's gonna make it with more details, but unfortunately the size is quite a bit smaller..
graphic revolt
looks bigger than 1/48 and the detail looks nice for that scale. Small vehicles of the 80s I'm assuming. I can think of Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazard, James Bond Octopussy, A-Team, Escape from New York, Back to the Future, Miami Vice, Cannon Ball Run, Speed Racer, and this could go into areal vehicles Thunder Blade, Air Wolf, Last Star Fighter and any crazy niche to capture FOMO. I'm interested in this Spinner cuz it features switchblade style doors.

electric indigo
"Ok let's pick the worst scale for this kit" 😄 But it looks good, I wonder if it has the Peugeot logo.
