Shawn Posted March 18 Posted March 18 For the 3 people that would actually care about the differences, I broke out my original scripts to compare against the 4k Re-issue. Very minor differences, the most surprisingly one being with the font for punctuation. 4k version on the left, orig on the right Quote

In general, the font in the 4k version is more legible (compare the ツ (tsu), and the relative size of the numbers in 4+0). However, the removal of the italicized !! is odd... 🤔 Quote
Pontus Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) Pardon me if this is common knowledge and/or been asked before, but I just watched DYRL for the first time on this 4K release (just beautiful, glad I got it!) and noticed something; Flashback 2012 is not the first time the VF-4 was featured. Unless I'm mistaken here, in Hikaru's apartment scene, he has a blue model of a prototype VF-4 on his shelf. The only thing that might be different is that I don't see the front kenards on the model. (what am I talking about, I must be confusing my valks) But it's only a small part of a few frames. Anyway, I was just wondering if that's been noticed before, or is this only just now noticable (or perhaps confirmed) due to the high resolution? Edited March 21 by Pontus Quote

It was first seen in the TV series as well: https://macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/vf-x-4.htm Quote
