Neptune_Minowa
Ignore the missile doors on the heavy armour parts in the Example image. They are fixed in the actual model files.
guyxxed
This is awesome, thank you for putting this together and making it available!
guyxxed
Small update here. Added the SV-262, the Glaug, and the Cheyenne from Delta Scramble to the archive, along with the Monster in both Shuttle and Gerwalk from Macross 30. Also added is the Frontier version of the VF-171 in fighter, since that was the scheme that sparked me to start down the road in developing my Frontier NUNS version of the VF-25 in the other thread. Hopefully this gives everyone some nice toys to play with and maybe we'll see some other creations posted in the 3D collection thread soon! SebastianP
The VF-25 Tornado and Super Parts are kind of incomplete, they're missing their leg armor; and while the Armored Parts *are* complete, the jet itself is not in the correct configuration to mount them (all of the super/tornado/armored versions need to drop the leg some amount at the "gerwalk" joint and then go the same amount up at the knee). The models are also for some reason not in scale, they're almost 200% scale compared to the specs (think 1/72 scale compared to a 1/144). This is the easiest part to fix though. Thanks a bunch for posting them anyway though, because I did *not* have an Armored VF-25 of any shape before, so this helps a lot. guyxxed
I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm definitely just an amateur messing around with these models in my spare time, so I have no doubt I'm making mistakes on some of them. I didn't make the VF25 collections (ironic since I was the one making all the VF25 variants in the other thread), so I can't speak to the missing parts, but I can tell you that in Macross 30 every component is stored as a separate file that has to be imported on its own and then placed together into a collection to appear as a "complete" plane, so perhaps Nepture Minowa just hasn't gotten that far yet. If you need those parts, they are avaialable in the "battle carrier 3D model" thread, which has links to the full extract archives in the second page. On the scale, you're exactly correct. For some reason, Macross 30 has all the models just a little shy of twice their "actual" size. Don't know if it's an artefact of the import tool or just the way they were made. The Macross Delta Scramble models, by contrast, seem to import in almost exactly 1:1 scale. I've corrected scale where I've needed to (putting objects together into a scene) but not bothered yet on the stand alone ones. It's like a sandbox where we're all playing with someone else's toys: not always perfect, but usually still fun! 😉
SebastianP
I ended up sounding a bit harsh in my previous post now that I read it over, which wasn't my intention. I'm just trying to point out where stuff needs more work. That the work of piecing everything together is pretty much insanity inducing was something I already knew a bit about... I know about the extracted archives from Macross 30, the problem is the upload site used appears to require an account to use and a stand-alone app as well, which doesn't want to work for me. I am kind of wondering right now how well the armored parts from Mac30 would fit on the Uta Macross VF-25, once they're correctly scaled. I'll have to experiment with that at some point. Do none of the extracted games contain an Uraga-class? It's the one major NUNS combatant that I've never been able to get a model of and it's been a pretty major presence in all of the last three TV shows and their movies... guyxxed
No worries, no offense taken, just explaining a bit but sounds like you've been there too. 😉 No, I've not come across an Uraga so far. I've not actually played any of these games, so I don't knowbif they make appearances in them, but I can definitively say that there is nothing in the model list that we can extract for the Uraga. Sorry! On the M30 archive, I was able to use an online service to download from it without needing to set up an account. I don't remember what one it was anymore, basically just Googled "baidu online download" and picked the least annoying one I could find. I remember that they were all annoying in some way or form, but it worked. 😁
