Yeah, by season 3 I think he qualifies as an old school Disney princess

He's certainly distressed enough... all he needs is a pretty dress and a prince.

So, do we go Star Trek naming convention and call it the Razor Crest-A?

Or nickname it, calling it the Zeb-zor Crest (since Zeb’s piloting it)?

If it both is and isn't the Razor Crest, does that make it the Spaceship of Theseus?  The Schrodinger's Razor Crest?

Since it's got "razor" in the name do we start with the shaver jokes?  Is it the Razor Crest Quattro Titanium?  The Razor Crest Hydro?  Maybe just call it the Gilette

Mando’s original Razor Crest was clearly the SI model with the custom modified big honkin’ guns on the front, the portable carbonite freezing chamber, and the lowered chromed turbines.

Zeb’s(?) Razor Crest might be a used EX model from a few years back.  The New Republic probably doesn’t pay him enough to buy the latest model, and he couldn’t afford the custom color leather seats with the two-zone temperature controls.

Bo came to his rescue a lot last season, so maybe that’s his Prince Charming

OK, so it's a title card.

Still feel like a further continuation of Din and Grogu's story is kinda unnecessary.

They played an actual trailer at the current Celebration over in Japan(?).

Synopsis (since Disney gonna copyright violation any videos of it and apologies if I get the scenes out of order, going by memory here):

Spoiler

Basically shows Snowtroopers gearing up for a fight inside an AT-AT.  Mando pops in, starts whopping ass.  An Imp Commander closes the door to the cockpit.

Next shot is AT-AT blowing up, crashing down a cliff.  Mando and Grogu flying away.

Voiceover of Sigourney Weaver’s character saying “Messy.”  Looks like she plays some sort of Republic officer at Delphi base.  Mentions that Mando works for them now.

Scene of Mando, Grogu, and Zeb walking at the base.

Grogu swimming/diving.

Grogu Force-lifting a mouse droid, breaking it apart (or someone blasting it), moving slightly to dodge the wheel that comes rolling off it.

Scene of Mando riding that Clone War era chicken walker, evading three AT-AT’s.

Swoll-Jabba character flexing in an arena with Grogu munching on snacks.

No real major story revealed, other than Mando helping out/working for the New Republic and blasting ish.

Zero interest. Their story ended in season 2 finale.  And the most interesting unanswered plot elements worthy of a movie was wasted in the book of Boba Fett and Mando season 3.

Got to see the leaked trailer, and I feel like the AT-AT is borrowing heavily from the Tardis' "it's larger on the inside" concept...

I don't get the hate.😄 Mando and Grogu are usually very dependable for fun entertainment, and yes, though it feels like their story is finished, and you could leave it if you want and just ignore this, apparetnly they feel they have more of a story to tell for them. I'm interested to see what they do.

The AT-AT for this film is the draft design from ESB.

Watched the leaked trailer as well. At first I wasn't digging how it looks too much like the series with its VFX and cinematography but maybe that could be part of its appeal? I'll keep an open mind for now.

Looking forward to sharing the official trailer with my children too.

I'm very interested to see more of this time frame. And , of course, more about Din and the Mandos.

There's such a vacuum between episode 6 and 7 (of the Skywalker Saga) that I expect more content to fill in the gaps to be forthcoming. Especially about the noticeable absence of any Mandos by episode 7..

I get the hate but this movie will make mad money because of "baby yoda." I also predict this will be the first Star Wars film I take my children to.

I kinda doubt it will make much. It may not even break even. The baby yoda stuff is all over the clearance isles and I don’t think that most people are excited about a movie sequel to the tv show. More people will probably be interested when it comes to streaming, but Star Wars overall as a franchise is probably in its worst shape in decades and has lost quite a few fans. Even semi decent shows on D+ are having a hard time getting an audience these days

Maybe they all die out.  After all, that their warrior culture is so toxic and so incredibly self-destructive that they'd already practically destroyed themselves several times before the Empire ever rolled up to finish things is a recurring theme with them.

It'll make bank.  Count on it.  Above all else, it's a safe project that leans heavily on well-established and well-received characters that've tested well in merchandising already.

Unlike Solo, it's a sequel rather than a prequel, so they won't fall prey to the many perils of writing backstory for an already-established character either.

It probably won't set the world on fire, but between Baby Yoda and its mindless summer action movie potential of Din John Wick-ing his way through an army of hapless stormtroopers it'll probably do respectable business at the box office.
