The Coke Zero of Star Wars.

It might actually be entertaining, but don't call it Star Wars.

Well, it is set in the Star Wars Universe and it, apparently, is divorced from the whole Skywalker Saga, which should make some people happy. And it does have the look of being very entertaining, maybe even fun. If so, I'll take it esp as their last attempt to add to the whole Jedi mythos (cough Acolyte cough) buggered into the ground so badly.

Distance from the Skywalker saga has proven to be a pretty good idea... at least as far as good ideas go under the stewardship of Disney.

There are just too many sacred cows on Skywalker Ranch for telling more stories there to be a good idea.

Except it's not....it still leads to the Emperor somehow coming back in TROS.....there has been NO Star Wars not tied somehow towards the events in the Skywalker Saga....

Rey is supposedly coming out with one....but she is a Skywalker now...lol

Does it tie-in in some way or is it entirely insular? Or maybe, they find the Emperor!!🤯

That trailer looked interesting enough to give it a try but I still have a problem with it looking so modern.  The original Star Wars managed to look completely different from modern architecture(*) at the time (while heavily borrowing early times) - this one still has the modern suburban look with modern looking cars (that require modern looking roads even though they don't touch the ground) but the real kicker is the guy's glasses that look like they came right from Amazon.

(*) - some of this may have been luck.  Luke's hat in deleted scenes looked like it came from a catalog and his female friend on Tatooine had an outfit that didn't quite look as foreign as the other outfits did.

Honestly, that sounds like a recipe for hilarity to me.  I would watch that.

The undead Emperor just... getting completely casually disrespected by a bunch of exciteable kids who have no idea who he is, trying to keep his flesh from falling off his bones at the same time he's trying to keep their grubby mitts off his Sith artifacts until he can find someone to dump them on so he can have a moment's peace.  The most dangerous and deadly villain in the galaxy treated like a Scooby-Doo villain for a few episodes.

(And you can't tell me Star Wars has never done that kind of thing before.  I've seen the episodes of The Clone Wars where Dooku is taken hostage by that magnificent ham Hondo and ends up chained to Anakin and Obi-wan.)

OK so Elephant Boy just goes back to looking ridiculous with his blue toupee....not the worst of all the alien kids ever seen in Star Wars, but since the list is short, he scores at least in the top 3 IMO....with Baby Yoda/Grogu being the best design...

Nah, just means he’s a hybrid

I guess I don't see what the problem with the elephant boy is. He looks fine, esp if he is the same species as the band member. Bands can lead some rough and tumble lives, and imagine the loss of his dreams of being a galactically known musician to only end up playing at - Mos Eisley...

Plus it is a kid's show and that is who he is meant to appeal to.

That wasn’t a rough patch, he was trying to return to his roots to get inspiration for his next album. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll ever get to hear it since most of the tracks were mostly basic demos at the time of the tragedy of the explosion

Guess you must have missed Man-Thing and his crew from the last Mandalorian season....

I completely forgot that he exists.

I think my brain glossed over his existence entirely, since he looks like an especially ugly Chia Pet and he and his crew managed to be slightly less intimidating than stormtroopers.

...and the cybernetically enhanced girl makes this series more in-line with the worst parts of what we have seen in the Mando universe than the better ones...space scooters included...LOL

Nah, she's probably meant to be an inclusive character for viewers with disabilities.  Like Geordi LaForge was in Star Trek: the Next Generation.

It'd be a bit too weird for Disney to make a kid into a cybernetics fetishist like that ridiculous moped gang from The Book of Boba Fett.

An eviable position to have been in...

As memorable as he is, I'm sure I'll forget him again soon enough.

And if not, there's bourbon.

Space Lesbian Witches....Space Vespa riding cyborg gangs....Luke drinking straight from the teet of a space manatee....Jack Black and Lizzo.....
