Pontus Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Hopefully Brian and Kevin aren't involved in the writing. I absolutely hated reading their novels as much as I yearned for historical context in the Dune universe. There were several times when I would read something on one page and clearly the other writer wrote the same thing on the next and somehow didn't catch it in editing. Good stories, horrible writing. He seems to be playing his usual character, but as long as this show doesn’t jump the shark, then nuke the fridge and then send the hot rod into orbit, it’ll be alright. Raised by Wolves was a great concept that got thrown into absolute chaos and couldn’t recover the writers crack smoking messed up ideas. Quote
electric indigo Posted December 13 Posted December 13 Well, that was disappointing. I made it throught the first three episodes, and while it looks pretty impressive, from the scenery to the tech to the costumes, the writing is abysmal. Each dialogue is either exposition or the characters literally spelling out the plot in each other's faces. So your basic fanfic-level Sci-Fi. At least the Acolyte had Manny Jacinto. Quote

Yeah, I’m a bit on the fence with this one and can easily see why a lot of people hate it. Like you said, it looks great…… it does kinda bring up comparisons between space lesbian witch stories this year and oddly I think this is the third show I’ve seen this year with lesbian witches that was on the disappointing side. I do hope the show gets better though and maybe gains a better focus Quote
Duke Togo Posted December 13 Posted December 13 I'll finish this season of the show, but it's not working for me so far. Quote
Duke Togo Posted Friday at 03:52 PM Posted Friday at 03:52 PM Numbers must be pretty good for it. I'm not sure I'd follow a second season, but we'll see how this one ends. Quote

I kinda wonder if it’s more of a contractual thing like with Rings of Power. I don’t know anyone else personally that’s even started the show and there really isn’t a lot of talk about it online. It does seem like an expensive show to produce, but then again most of the actors are kinda on the lesser known side of things, so maybe it’s saving money there. Quote

I'm one of the few that did enjoy that series tho. Oh, and it also starred Travis Fimmel too!! Quote
Bolt Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I enjoyed raised by wolves. I'm definitely going to keep watching Prophecy, it's not bad. Though i am still waiting for it to get better.. Quote
