Goodman Models Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Hi All, I'm working on the Model Graphix decal sheet variant along with the flight deck kit. Here’s some progress shots: The resin panels of the deck need to be squared up. I compressed the oleo on the front gear. Added brass barrels to the GU-11. Mounted pylons for a bomb payload. Quote
Goodman Models Posted June 8, 2024 Author Posted June 8, 2024 Thanks Bolt! If anyone has any ideas on the paint scheme, please let me know! I only have the profile to work from. thanks, Anthony Quote
Bolt Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I'm not sure which Model Graphix variant your referring to, off the top of my head. But here are just a few of my favorite paint scheme from other modelers works. There's many more inspirational works.. Quote

I’m doing the Bushmasters Squadron from the MG decal sheet (there’s only a profile view - the green one). These are very cool tho! Quote

Goodman Models Posted September 24, 2024 Author Posted September 24, 2024 Just a quick update. This is on hold until my s-gundam booster is finished (which will be shortly). I did manage to paint the ordnance and canopy frame. Quote
Bolt Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 There's always another project needs finishing. Quote

Goodman Models Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 Ah Brett, I did finish the S and now I’m finishing the Type 89 and then back to the bushmaster! Quote

Goodman Models Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 (edited) Got back to work on the Bushmaster VF. Lantirn pods, canopy has the final colour. I decided on the paints I’m using. I added a gray blue as per the ref photos that I couldn’t see on the decal profile. Spoiler Edited January 5 by Goodman Models Added text. Quote
Bolt Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Looking good. I like the addition of the lantirn pods. Edited January 5 by Bolt Quote
Goodman Models Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 Spoiler Some more progress, the gray underside is mostly done, I shortened the front gear for the low launch position. Quote
Goodman Models Posted January 8 Author Posted January 8 (edited) Here’s the underlying yellow layer that will add some tonal variation to the green. The underside gray was done in the same way, just Mr. Color 92 built up with stencils over the black primer. This makes for a smooth paint finish with lots of variation. Goodman Models Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Laid down some green, came out well, some gray touch ups req’d for a bit of over spray. Quote
Goodman Models Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Ooopsie. These wings came out of the parts bin - they had had the flaps cut out and I reattached them, blowing out those spine details. I didn’t notice till now, lol. Will fix later. Quote
Bolt Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Moving right along ! Restoring panel lines is always so much fun Quote

Goodman Models Posted Wednesday at 09:52 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 09:52 PM The blue striping is underway. The MG article omits these stripes but they’re visible on the decal sheet profile so I’m going with it! Quote
