I've been on a tear with these lately.  Nitto Machinen Krieger.  I actually put one of these models together when I was young and I've had a fascination with the Krieger line ever since.  Some kind of WWII fetish I think.  Anyway, very cool line that combines military, WWII and even a little steam punk aesthetic.  I'm already on my way to collecting as many of these as I can.  Never thought of myself as a model collector, but here you have it.

It's a very obscure line that was created in the 80's.  You have to be a collector's collector to even know where they're from.  Somewhere in the dark recesses of the hobby these lines exist.  Prehistoric, primal.  Definitely worth checking out.  The reality is that the line actually fetishizes the SS a bit.  Very dark in that way.  And it belongs in the dungeon with other like-minded lines (mainly thinking porny anime here).  I was told by some guys selling this that older Japanese men are really into the line, and that makes perfect sense.  There may be a bit of misty-eyed romance for an old and neglected past (they were allies after all).  Be that as it may, the line is held in high regard by collectors, and when they are produced, only the best materials are used.  These models are no exception.

Sometimes, the more you know......

Kow Yokoyama is a name I hear now & then, so this is where he got his early fame from making this line of models. Definitely like his illustrations, and as I'm looking through some of them, they do remind me of stuff from various Final Fantasy games. It could very well be the designs from the latter being inspired from his works.

I never got any of the nitro kits, but I have a few of the wave versions of the armor suits and a groBerhund from hasegawa. Very fun little kits

Finally able to complete my Zelda Amiibo collection today, with 8Bit, Majoras Mask and Twilight Princess completing the set! 🥵

Nice collection! :good:

Love the Amiibo line - they are really nice balance of functionality, sculpt, pose & display. I'd sooner display all of them in packaging as they are, as opposed to something like say, a Funko Pop.

MonsterArts Tigrex. Love it, love Monster Hunter, easily in my top 5 favorite game series ever, I'm positive I've put more hours into Monster Hunter then any other game franchise, thousands upon thousands of hours over many, many releases on several different systems and handhelds.

Like the way you custom set up the glass shelves.

I’m not very familiar with Monster Hunter property, but do you have Kitz Concept’s Rathalos? It’s currently at 50% off..

I do! He's in storage though, I had it displayed for a bit until I got the Bandai MonsterArts figure. That sale price is fantastic, if I didn't already have one I'd definitely grab it now, makes for a really nice display piece.

It does look really awesome, and even the claws are individually articulated for fierce grabbing. I'd get him if I want a monster in collection, but I don't want to get into that rabbit hole lol.

Hachette 1/100 Air Fighters Collection #13 - Saab JAS 39 Gripen.

Quite stoked to have scored this. I think there were only a couple of diecast 1/100 Gripens ever made - this one from Hachette a few years ago, and an even older one from Italeri.

I missed this Hachette release then, and since then due to rarity, prices have climbed quite a bit (2-3x, although the final $$ isn't that much). So when one popped up below MSRP recently, I've never clicked 'buy' quicker.

Aren't the Gripens just a beauty...
