Just picked this up at lunch, as an impulse buy from the new hobby shop that just opened near my office, for HK$1,680 (approx US$216). Is it a reasonable price? 🤔

There have been a couple sitting at Mandarake for 28000 yen. A quick exchange rate on google put them around 186 USD. Considering you needs to add shipping $216 is not that bad for a local pick-up.

Great price for something that is the equivalent of the DX YF-19 Full-Pack, but for the bare-bones re-issued DX YF-19 price. How times have changed in the DX vs Arcadia pricing..

Yeah I still love the toy.  This one came in good condition.  I would have bought another VF-17D if Bandai reissued it.

I never understood why some boxes say "Movie Edition" while others didn't but both figures looked the same to me. I would of thought the non-Movie version would have the Prometheus and Daedalus arms.

The "Movie Edition" WHAM SDF-1 is painted with alternating grays while the non-movie version has more of metallic blue hue. These are obviously very old pics but the movie version is the left and the normal version to the right:

This wasn't cheap but finally got a Fold Booster for my Yamato YF-21.

Wasn't cheap for an add on that is only shown for a couple of frames. Lol.

And a blast to the past when Yamato had huge a** packings. Didn't realized how big it was untill I put the box next to the Bandai DX box.

The contents of the 6 checks out and everything is intact.  No QC issues.  Of my 28, I've had a rare QC issue where one TV VF-1A head was missing the connector piece to attach to the neck.  Happy to report that all of these are good and are welcome to my HMR fleet.

I have an affinity for green, so on aesthetics I wanted the DYRL Kakizaki for a long time (and got one), but on characters, and just the next color, Max is the guy for me too.

There are 2 HMR VF-1J Max listings on Mandarake.  

What Bandai really needs to do is make Max and Milia VF-1J Revivals with the proper blue and white and red and white, side covers, and TV arm armor.

Yeah I'm eyeing those at Mandarake. I actually do like the grey interpretation on the HMRs. We get the bright white Valkyries all the time.

THIS.  M&M valks that are white, not grey.   (and the right arm-armor of course).
