That "1023" doesn't quite make sense either though, since the 3 gets dropped in every other appearance of the plane, and from the comm traffic.

Probably don't need to dwell too much on single screenshots from a show filled with animation inconsistencies and errors.

Aside from that split second frame, neither 102 nor 607 was ever firmly established as the proper modex for the VT-1 Hikaru borrowed, so it really doesn't matter what modex number Bandai used. The tampo is just as obnoxious.

Obnoxious or not, that one at least has a real life precedent, which is more than you can say about a lot of Bandai's tampo shenanigans.

I don't really know if it was ever about securing the backpack.  It felt more like they were trying to secure the tails, because, for whatever reason, they always had a weird springy hinge that would resist folding them up more than the typical VF-1 tail.

Wow-with the closeups we can see that Bandai used decals on this mockup instead of Tampo printing, which makes a lot of sense for a proto

Hey, at least they didn't pull an HMR this time.  The wings do have hardpoints.  

Or.. at least the display version does.. probably anyone's guess whether the release keeps them, since they were probably just modded VF-1D parts.

For the most part it does look like the mould is finished! But we will have to wait and see if they keep it as is.... There is a gap in the leg booster that needs addressing since it's not flush, but the wings and cockpit hump as well as the length of the two seaters look correct! if they change the front thrusters to match properly is also a big question. but its not a deal breaker for me! but would be nice! Now the big question for everyone is probably when is PO and release!?

Presumably those thrusters are on either side of the front landing gear and slightly canted outward for maximum upward push.

Considering we're looking at a complete mock up. I'd say long way off. And hopefully not after the HMR Tomahawk.

Since nobody knows exactly the dates and such. The best thing to do is load Bandai page or Macrossworld, and probably refresh it each day or you can follow this thread to get notification if you're using smartphone. Or check Bandai's all twitter feeds.

It will be around 33,000 - 35,000 yen Like the VF-1S Strike Valkyrie, I take it we will get more news in April, After they deliver the second batch of the Mechanic Edition....
