In Crocodile Dundee voice @ all prior VF weapons...

"That's not a Gunpod... THIS is a Gunpod."

It's giving me Aliens smart gun + A10 Warthog gatling gun vibes.

That Gatling gun is like 100+ parts!
that should take some patience to paint and assemble it.

also I am pretty curious if the Katana blade is 2parts (dark and light grey) or if you mask it and paint with 2 colors?

Where do you draw inspiration for transformable airplane designs?

I'm interested in redesigning the Legioss.

I love Macross /Robotech since i first encountered anime around age 10/11, since then i have tried to scratch build using papercraft method and try to design my own VF since then. love Transformer, GI joe, Starcom, M. A. S. K, Evangelion, Getta etc, i think find inspiration from here and there.

I am interested in re vision the legioss too. have some ideas on paper.

Great illustration.  What does the order,  rendering and production plan look like?

Thank You. Far from into production. Expensive but still hold the hope to get it produced. Now I'm not sure how many i should produce, Will be assemble kits c/w metal parts, two pods included, won't be a complete toys like arcadia. I'm not sure how well my design will sell haha.

When can I buy this??? :)

Currently I don't have an actual release date. I'm still looking for toy manufacturers that can help me....

Man this is awesome.  You could release this as a 3D print files with instructions on how to assemble and transform.

Manufacturing is EXPENSIVE bro.

Agree bro.

A friend of mine here in New Mexico took over a local Christmas Store and just to have the molds made for simple, see-thru LED light covers shaped like Chiles was $30,000.

That's expensive for the molds for covers. Quotations i have now are from Taiwan and China. Just the quantities i have doubt how much i should produce (The minimum quantities are 300pcs) vary from factory to factory. Maybe i will create a poll here? (not sure how to do it in here).

Yes. Following @captain america method. Take a poll. Require a minimum amount of commitments / commissions. If you get enough people to commit ($$) , go for it!

I'm hoping these get produced for others to enjoy and for you too!

You can poll here, and you can also look to pre-sell on Kickstarter.  But be sure you know your cost basis and schedule before starting the campaign (under-promise, over-deliver). If you have questions or need help organizing a campaign just DM me.  I've been there...

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned yet or not, but has the option of creating the parts (i.e. casting them yourself) and the purchaser assembling the set been explored?

This appears to be the business model of Experten (their blog includes images of parts, assembly, and transformation): http://experten.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/

From my standpoint, it seems to be the best way to a) deliver a product exactly like the one you've worked so hard to produce*, b) keep production costs and the selling price low, and c) only have to deal with a small amount of stock (something on the order of 10–30, with the potential of easily producing more).**

* Others in MW have posted that there are a lot of changes when turning a prototype into a manufactured product.  Things like material strength dictate how small (or thin) certain parts can be, and the less number of parts the less it will cost to produce (meaning such things as the wing flaps, separate fingers, and all the movable panels and parts in the legs [and maybe elsewhere] would be consolidated into one or two pieces each).  Which begs the question: would people still be interested in purchasing it without all those fine details and gimmicks?

** somewhere just over 10 seems to be what the market can bear.  You'll have to do more research, as this presumption is based on casually looking at the stuff produced by fellow MWers (such as the Armoured GERWALK and Moscato's kits).

There is always the option that perhaps Big Bad Toy Store is interested in your toys.  They've backed other smaller creators on Indiegogo/Kickstarter before simply because they want more toys on their site.

HI @sketchley, thanks for suggestion and ideas. I have tried casting and failed. Love what experten have created and inspired.

I don't want to deliver a 3d printed finish model, because some parts hence deform or break (Rubber like resin hard to break but will deform overtime). The price i won't mark up. This project is fulfilling my bucket lists so share my vision and anyone who likes my design, i am humble, grateful, the model must be fully articulation in 1/48 scale all the movable areas will be bring into production. For production, the finish surface will have panel line and of course some surface details and parts separation will be different from what we can see in this 3d printed prototype. Next step i am going to work on CAD for injection and drawings for surface details and packs.
