Recently I picked up both the 1/144 Nousjadeul-Ger and Queadluun-Rau kits, so of course I immediately set off on building the N-Ger. Unfortunately for me things have spiraled out of control and I'm currently in the process of adding articulation.

I'm hardly a master modeler, so many of my solutions are sort of hackneyed, but I think he's coming along alright. Currently I have the right thigh and a bicep clamped up after cementing.

The biceps on this kit are ludicrously small so I decided to lengthen them by about 3mm. Time will tell if this sets off a chain reaction that ends with me cutting this whole kit up. I'm hoping to have it done by the start of September, but at this pace I'd be lucky to have it done by the end of 2023. Fingers crossed anyhow

The bicep is probably short since a humanoid arm fits through and I believe the controls are in the forearm with a fake hand beyond that

Yeah I initially thought the same, but on closer inspection, I discovered the bicep is literally shorter than the Pilot model you receive along with the kit. I thought I'd make it a little more believable as essentially a giant metal sleeve.

I’m definitely curious to see the end product. This was one of my favorite Macross models and to see it with some added articulation would definitely be great

I built that kit over 3 decades ago and even then, it was tedious! I ended up scratchbuilding almost half of it, so I know where you're going. Just by-the-by, the pilot's arms don't extend into the mecha arms, but are tightly huddled in the main chest cavity, hence the presence of knobs and controls in there.

Zentraedi definitely didn’t build mecha for comfort

Yeah, I ended up checking the cockpit lineart and came to that realization. That was about the same time that the top half of the elbow joint I used shattered, so I'll have to dig out the housing and scratchbuild a replacement piece. I'm currently at the stage where the scratch building is piling up, we'll see if I end up resculpting anything major aside from the hip joints, although this post is beginning to seem like an ominous prophecy lol.
