Jin_Kune_Do Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 I just recently got my very own Macross Zero DVDs, thanks to Kevin Lam at www.valkyrie-exchange.com. Well when i finally sat down and watch it with the dubs, i noticed that the subs are somewhat "of" i mean i was like when i noticed them saying "WTF" and "that doesent sounf right" I think A-One subs was far better then the one in the DVDs. Whats your opinion? -Jin Quote
bob joe mac Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 Those were probobly bootlegs.... so what were you really expecting? Maybe in 10 years this legal crap will be over and stuff like DYRL and M0 and other macross productions will be able to come out here. So then people don't have to buy crappy bootlegs to watch shows... ahhh bootlegs *thinks of One piece and ZZ gundam subs* *cringes* Quote

Whats your opinion?-Jin I personally have seen my fare share of bad Subs... I have no problem dealing with spelling errors, or slight gramerical errors (normal EngRish). The stuff that makes me laugh and frustrates me at the same time are the "utter gibberish" subs. I have seen subs that read like "The Cat fire to the car, hoses make better trees." you sit there and rewind-play-rewind-play-pause... WTF? then fast-foreward past that scene. Quote

I believe babelfish is at work there....or some hongkies doing some major major literal translation from Chinese to English. Quote
