I'm plugging along working on my build of this, long way to go still, and I have one burning question....Will the other destroids (barring the HWR, of course) be making a 1/48 appearance?

Seeing as the Phalanx and the Defender share the same lower half as the Tomahawk, much of the work is already done:

As I'm sure you've already noticed, the only details unique to each have been molded as separate parts... 

Clearly, our reliable Cap'n has been thinking ahead.  

If another Destroid were to be produced by Moscato, my money would be on a Phalanx.  It was ignored by Yamato, Arcadia AND Bandai, meaning there's likely to be greater demand for it than a Defender (whether at 1:48 or 1:60). 🤔

Very true.  I have another question for the group.  As I'm starting to think about painting this beast, what colour are people going to be using as its base colour?  Any ideas would be helpful.

Moscato Hobby models are rare, expensive, and valuable kits, and should not be treated like toys.

However, boys will be boys...

...and boys play with toys. ☺️

At least, before they're painted. 😅

Despite wild variations in animation quality, the anime coloring is a consistent two-tone brown:

...and much of the merchandising reflects this color scheme.

However, dark green variants are also common.

So, brown or green, dirty or clean, your cannons will be canon.

And, for those who may be wondering, here's how Tommy Boy scales with 1:60th, 1:100th, or 1:144th Tomahawks. 🤓

I actually was wondering. I have the three destroids that wave produced and had been trying to figure out if they were all the same in an area, like if they all had the same uniform on the Macross versus the ones on ground, or if they just varied no matter where they were stationed

Biggest of any kit or figure available, best detailed, and nicest proportions... Also most expensive!

What a great build, Kudos Mike!! I especially appreciate the scorch marks at the waist: it looks like it had taken a bad hit and had part (or all) of its upper torso replaced.
