Swoosh Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 (edited) 60cm in length! From Google Translate: "In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the airing of "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross", this item, which is currently being planned, is a three-dimensional version of the TV version of SDF-1 Macross. It is said that it has achieved complete transformation from a ship to a strong attack type. Of course, it will be an action figure that can reproduce the impressive scenes in the play, such as the main gun firing and Daedalus attack poses." https://hobby.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1456796.html?fbclid=IwAR2Z8YSA00iT032s3ONx7LRYrvGjl-MdCVPY-RMRx7Vu8KAJTdMCTkjnSBw Edited November 18, 2022 by Swoosh Add Google Translate short description Quote

seti88 Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Ohhh that would be a centerpiece at that length! 😍 Quote
Knight26 Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Looks awesome, can't wait to see it in robot more and how they implement the bridge move. Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Time to clear off some space. That is really a beautiful piece. Bummer that it has no landing gear like the Takatoku. I hope they fix that before actual release.😅 Quote
pengbuzz Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Yeah...NOW they come out with one after I finished mine! O.o Quote

jvmacross Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 It's a Macrossmas Miracle!.... ....ok....Bandai can make me wait a little more for my HMR Tomahawk and Phalanx now...lol Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Oh my. This looks really nice. There's a lot of surface detail on it. I'm scared to know what the price will be for a 2ft long SDF-1. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Bandai will up their game and announce it's already sold out BEFORE they announce the price and date... ::edit:: Also merged threads before either got too big, and merged title. Quote
derex3592 Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 I'll believe this one when I see the PRE-ORDER button and click it..oh wait, it'll be gone in .0000003 seconds, so nevermind. Quote
Reïvaj Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 60cm!!??? What does it tell us about the scale? What's the length of the Arcadia one? Quote
Swoosh Posted November 18, 2022 Author Posted November 18, 2022 Though I am more of a DYRL SDF-1 fan, I really digging this toned down color of the TV Edition!! Quote
seti88 Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 The thrusters have a potential for LED lighting with those clear pieces. Maybe a future direction in lighting toy releases for bandai? Quote

Chronocidal Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Woooooooah. Yes, in for one. Will probably just accept that I'll be overpaying, because this one won't be coming internationally. Quote
Shawn Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Awesome! and that looks like it opens... And possibly some moveable elevators? Maybe not, but it would be a cool gimmick Quote
Mog Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 (edited) Oh frak me! I would hope it's a little more white instead of greyish-white. But my goodness! I'm already itching to panel-line that sumbitch! EDIT: Just checked: no way this sucker is fitting inside a Detolf shelf. Edited November 18, 2022 by Mog Quote
Anasazi37 Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 I don't care how much this will cost. I wants it. I must have the precious. Quote
Mog Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 And just because I’m a facetious ass, they better make sure this secures strong and tight and doesn’t tend to look like this: If it flops or constantly misaligns, I’m gonna scream bloody hell murder. Quote

505thAirborne Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 (Prepares to be yelled at) Overall it looks good, very well detailed especially if you wanted to panel line it. My only real gripe with it this is the length of the main guns, needs to be longer IMO, just like the old 80's versions the guns need to be extended. Otherwise looks good, I can't imagine what this will cost though... pending it's actually produced. Quote
Shawn Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 This looks like you can open the leg and see the little people inside Quote

This will prolly look good alongside together with their previously shown/released 1/35 VF-1J. oh, wait... Quote

Looking at this pic, it's actually longer than the old Takatoku/Matchbox one: On the custom I did a few years back, you can see where the original main guns ended. And compared to my custom extension below, Bandai's main guns are just a smidge shorter (and probably accurate to the line-art): Quote
