Here's hoping Gunn can pull this off... current DCU still has two more -- very likely -- theatrical bombs to get out of the way before it can even begin to try and become a contender.  The only saving grace, for Warner Bros, is that its only rival is also circling the drain at the moment, and the foreseeable future... also ironic that the only Disney-Marvel movie that was both well received and made a (very!) modest profit since Endgame was a James Gunn flick.

It’s too bad that the on dcu movie Gunn has done didn’t do so well. I really liked it, but it couldn’t was the stink off of the first Suicide Squad film. And I’m pretty sure you’re right about the next couple dcu films. I don’t think enough people are gonna care to see an aquaman sequel and they don’t have much of an attachment to blue beetle, but if word comes out that either of the two aren’t a turd, then maybe they got a chance, although I have my doubts

The only one I'm looking forward to is A2. Never had any interest in Blue Beetle.

I’m the other way around. I’ve never liked Aquaman, he’s on my list of most hated superheroes. On the other hand, I actually like Blue Beetle.

I’m pretty sure it will be a long while before this comes out. That’s probably a good thing and hopefully people will forget about her last movie by then.

The only property that has come remotely close to my interest in Macross is Superman/Justice League. I hope Gunn hits it out of the park for Superman Legacy and have a certain amount of optimism he will, but I didn't like the way Gunn addressed replacing Cavill by saying it was all these other guys at fault for screwing Cavill over as if he had no say in keeping the guy. It's pretty hard to find an actor, director, or writer who's as passionate about Superman as Cavill was. Most of these guys use the Superman license as a stepping stone for another project they'd rather be doing.

It’ll be alright. At least the new one can’t be as bad as the trash that was Man of Steel. Cavil is a great actor, but it’s too much of a call back to the failed snyderverse and it’s a better idea to recast with the reboot

No complaint about a Nu52 costume. I like the look, and hope for a movie version of Nu52 Supergirl in future.

Re-watched JUSTICE LEAGUE Snyder cut and was reminded of how good it was. A tragedy that WB tried to go full MCU in such short time and abandoned it just as quickly too.

No idea how these new films will go but how much reboots and spin-offs can we fans take??

To be fair, the Snyder cut was only the Snyder cut after all the complaints of the theatrical version.

personally, I really didn’t care much for the Snyder cut even though it was an improvement. I really don’t think I like much from Snyder other than his zombie stuff, but that may just have been a product of the time. After Rebel moon, I don’t think he’s got it in him to do anything else. I think he’s washed up and needs to either retire or learn how to to movies all over from scratch

Agree that they ruined it by trying to rush it all. They needed to play the long game. On JL alone, I definitely prefer Snyder Cut over Whedon's attempt to remake the whole thing in his 'image.' The only thing I don't like about the Snyder Cut are the future shots of an evil Supes. After everything, there was no way he was going to be able to tell that story and so leaving it in, as a plot that basically went nowhere, was a bad choice, IMO.

Take that part out and it is a good movie!

Nice to see in-production pics.

Just...

Spoiler

...I'm not feeling the suit right now. From these pics, it has a 'velvet' look to it,

I'm not feelin' the suit right now.

Spoiler

The red trunks on the New-52 suit doesn't work. Lose the collar and the trunks work perfectly.

They did this for FortNite, but I'm not sure it translated well here.

Maybe it would be better if it was more form-fitting.

His Martha probably sewed it for him and didn’t want him to look like a slurm

I wonder if it would help making the costume look good if the cape is shorter. His build is somehow reminisce of the All-Star Superman. Cape not as short as All-Star’s but somewhere between the knee and calf section. Kind of like Chris Reeves’ cape length.

The trunks are fine, the cape's fine, it's that the shirt's too loose and the material is bunching under his chest and around his elbows.

And hey, is that Edi Gathegi I spy as Mr. Terrific?  I like him in For All Mankind.

What's with the greaser look?

He probably needs a lot of product to keep his hair from getting messy when flying

Too much padding. The cape/collar/briefs/boots look fine, but those padded shapes are throwing it off. They don't need it. Supes does not need protective padding, nor does the suit.

Mr. Terrific looks awesome, always loved that costume! Even the CW, somehow, did a solid job when he was on Arrow.
