TangledThorns Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Aww, man. Fred was in so many classics. I always held out hope for a Remo Williams sequel one day too. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/fred-ward-dead-remo-williams-tremors-1235146115/
no3Ljm Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 I always remember him from the Tremors movie. R.I.P. Fred Ward.
danth Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 (edited) I actually watched Tremors for the first time since childhood a couple weeks ago. I really enjoyed Fred's character. He was incredibly likeable. You don't often see a gruff, country, blue collar worker type played without any sort of toxicity. He was tough, but willing to show fear, and had no problem asking a woman/scientist for help when he needed it and taking her seriously. Maybe credit is due to the writer/director for that but Fred made it work. Edited May 13, 2022 by danth
Knight26 Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 RIP Fred Ward, one of the great character actors of our age. He will be missed.
Thom Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 And Tremors II. He made the only good sequel to it worth while. Take care Mr. Ward, you are an iconic man who shall be missed.
Hiriyu Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Aw man. Dude was a part of the tapestry, really enjoyed his movies. Time Rider haha... He had the best line of the movie in The Right Stuff, but I won't repeat it here 😐 RIP Fred.
