Goodman Models Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Here is my build of the Moscato Hobby Models Queadluun-Rau! A fantastic kit. I just a new camera and have set up a photo station - here is my test shot. I will post some more pics. Quote

Goodman Models Posted March 8, 2022 Author Posted March 8, 2022 (edited) Here's a set of detailed pics of the Moscato Hobby Models 1/72 Queadluun Rau! It's a beautiful kit and I recommend everyone get at least one MHM kit for the experience. I'm really pleased how this build turned out. Although the pose was more of standing one, I envisioned it flying. Since it flies through deep space and within the atmosphere, I expected it to be fairly weathered and combat experienced. The model disconnects from the base via a 1/8" stereo jack for easy transpo/storage. 1` Edited March 12, 2022 by Goodman Models fixed image spacing Quote
Big s Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Nice weathering. I imagine these getting pretty scorched from dropping out of high atmosphere and constant battle. I don’t think Zentraedi were well known for basic maintenance or cleanup of mecha. Hopefully they at least showered after Quote
geck Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Very nice job. I especially like the metal pieces like the feet and exhaust back-plane. Quote
Bolt Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Great job! I love how this came out. Yes, yes, i need one ! Quote
Goodman Models Posted March 12, 2022 Author Posted March 12, 2022 Thanks for the nice comments! It was a huge build. The original kit comes with pieces to show the cockpit face open up and there was a Meltran bust to fit inside; it just goes to show the level of detail the Captain puts into his kits! It's a bit hard to see but I added lights to the sensor dome, eye and back thrusters - those pieces were included in clear red resin! I read somewhere that the Zentradi/Meltrandi mecha was built by slave-labour from conquered species so that and the face that they were a warrior race factored into my weathering concept. I have another awesome MHM project in progress, so stay tuned for that! Quote
Big s Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 I thought they were built in automated factories, but maybe those factories and designs were made by slave labor. Either way, nice build and would look great on display on it’s own or with other kits Quote
Big s Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 I think I find your kit on a YouTube channel with the lights and it looked cool. Also liked the magnet gimmick. I’m pretty sure it’s this kit due to the color and weathering patterns Quote
ChristopherB Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Really impressive kit and build, great job to both of you! Quote

I just got my camera game in order so I can do proper images! Thanks again for the kind words all. How are you ChristopherB? Quote

Thanks again for the kind words all. How are you ChristopherB? So oddly enough I wanted to just find that scene on YouTube about the Zentraedi factory since you had a comment about their tech and your video was only a few spots down from the top of that search coincidentally. At first I wasn’t sure if it was yours, but those weathering patterns were so distinct. And even though you think the video was dark, I think it really showed off that lighting gimmick. And the magnetic swap out for the missile parts was a really cool addition. I loved hearing that click when the parts went into place Quote
Gatsu Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Gorgeous weathering job. I'd like to see a WIP Quote

MechTech Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Great build and I think you got the weathering just right! The color choice looks good too. The lights are a nice touch too!😁- MT Quote
