i wonder if this will be higher than 450 usd?

For a premium version, probably, unless they do a really small production run of the regular version. That could be costly, too.

Is this a new issue?  Wonder if it's the scan or if Arcadia are going with the darker green?

I was wondering that too. I really hope it's darker like that. It looks better that way, imo.

Yes.  Figure King # 314 just came out recently.  Those are pics taken with my phone.  Here is a new one I took today that shows that the green is actually lighter.

I was disappointed with the no show at Wonderfest 24, but hopefully it was due to getting to this point.

We are getting so close. I just hope this won’t be a limited release with an exorbitant price.

Overall, the figure looks fantastic.

is this an early 2026 release? i don't think it's expected this year, correct?

Not sure. No dates posted in the picture.

Let’s hope it’s a summer PO with release in late 2024.

That nose gear looks awfully far forward, but I couldn't quickly/easily find any references for it.

Here's a pic with it partly out. It does seem pretty far forward, but not nearly as far forward as it appears to be on the toy.

Same here. Nevertheless I'm holding out for this one, for sure. As it's not the typical VF release, I'm also curious to see if this will be gone in a flash or a shelf warmer. .

I don't remember the gun pod being so orange, but it's also been a while since I last watched Dynamite.

I think it's the angle and the mechanism they've employed for the doors.

man i dont' visit here as often as i used to but the scan from figure king has me hotly anticipating this.  i didn't think i'd like this initial deco so much but in the flesh as photographed for that magazine it looks quite awesome in these colors. all 3 modes look quite good too.  its been so long since the i held a new to me arcarida mold .  hopefully they work everything out and release this year.

Oh, I don't see my anticipation going away for this release. I have a feeling they didn't show it at WF due to the updated version of this, and in looking at the new pictures, this looks like it's one of the more final designs (not final, but closer).

It does look like the gun may not be closed inside and/or locked in. I don't know if it has a retracting handle, but that could also be a reason, not wanting to break these parts. Also could be the same thing for the rear wheels, but from this image, it does look like they should be about 3+mm longer. The front gear doesn't look extended right, but maybe for the same reasons as the gun.

That was a much earlier image, 2022.  I was just pointing out I think the sngle of thst newer pic and the extra flap to make room for the landing gesr makes it look farther up than it actually is.  Unless for some reason they reengineered the whole nose cone since that time.

Yeah I was going to say something similar. I think the strut is in the right place but there's some weirdness going on with the door.

I think the forward door just has to swing that far forward to allow the strut to descend fully. The strut also looks as if part of the landing gear door is mounted to it's front. So then three panels , counting the rear door, fully make up the gear doors.

Yeah, it's three panels.  Which it is not on the animation.  But that longer front panel throws off the look enough from that 3/4 perspective.  The esrlier side view show it is in about the correct place.

I'm guessing Arcadia just wants to see how the reissue VF-1 does next month (assuming no further delays) in terms of quality from their current factory, before committing to new mold orders and production.

If the current factory is not up to mark, I'm assuming there will be more re-issues announced & produced first until they are satisfied with the factory quality, with further delays if they have to source yet another new factory.
Even if the upcoming VF-1 has no issues, I won't be surprised if they might exercise more prudence by announcing one more reissue of something.

Slow and steady appear to be guiding principle, and I rather wait than seeing them go under due to blowback from any quality issues.

I hope this is not vapourware. I'd definitely buy 2 or 3.

And I would hope for a VF-5000B variant, although that would require some retooling of the lower legs from Arcadia.

...what's different about the B and G lower legs?

I never noticed the B never had the Mac 7 Bell-Bottoms.  Guarantee you if Arcadia made other variants they wouldn't modify that.

I wouldn't mind the Mac 7 bell-bottoms leg in Ravens color schemes. ;)

Does anyone take an educated guess at Arcadia lot sizes?  SV-51 Nora seems substantial, but I'm hearing for other types it mat be under a few 1000 globally?  Not sure yield per mold based on tool quality.   I mean, Yamato and Arcadia struck me as larger than a garage shop, studio or low tier licenser, but I'm starting to wonder if we'll get the chance at a VF5000G if a few K get snatched up quickly in the "primary market" of Japan?

My guess for Arcadia and Bandai for high end Valks (DX in Bandai’s case) are in the low 5 digit range for the most popular releases. Probably most in the mid to high 4 digit range for the less popular releases. I’d be willing to bet I’m very close to correct based on watching the history of these toys and seeing the trends of some models selling out instantly while other very similar but less popular variants shelf warming. Whatever the case, it indicates very low relative numbers compared to top tier popular franchises.

I think Arcadia was routinely in the 1000-2500 range. Yamato published a few times of having production runs as low as 500 units. I think the Double Nuts and Bird of Prey YF-19 toys were 500 units though maybe my memory is faulty.
