derex3592 Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 The 10 year old in me is doing a happy dance seeing that! Thanks @tekering! Fantastic job! Quote
captain america Posted October 10, 2023 Author Posted October 10, 2023 Oh, how I've waited to see that Biopsycher finished! Thank you for sharing those wonderful images, Ted. Now I'm wondering since you have several kits, will you be building at least one on a sled? Quote
tekering Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Wow, thanks for all the encouragement! Given the positive response, I'll share an additional pic I didn't post earlier: 1 hour ago, captain america said: will you be building at least one on a sled? The "Hemorroids" were usually seen aboard the Zor ships, and much less frequently on Biovers, whereas Bug Face was ONLY seen fighting on Biovers... ...so Bug Face gets the sled. ☺️ Quote

Actually, I had to abandon much of the paint work I'd done after I acquired The Robotech Masters on Blu-ray: Color reproduction is much better than on the old Southern Cross DVDs, and "Bug Face" is affected most significantly. With higher-quality reference material to work from, I realized my initial color scheme wasn't accurate. I hope to have it repainted, assembled, and displayed at this year's "40 years of Robotech" exhibit, along with Thomas Hawk, my Space Crabs, and another 1:48 kit I've just started work on... 😎 Quote

The smaller stills still show some color variation, but are much more consistent. Either way, I'm sure someone somewhere will choose to bicker with you over your color choice, but it certainly won't be me. Edited 15 hours ago by captain america Quote
Boobytrap Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I'm almost embarrassed to show it due to the unfinished state (didn't even notice the fingerprint until I took the picture 😡) but since you hadn't seen many others do this particular version yet I figured I'd share. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, I have to avoid things like glue, paint, and resin. Basically everything I need to be exposed to for these projects. Can only do 20 - 30 minutes at a time. For an obsessive like me it's almost impossible to do a hard stop in such a short time. Keeps me from even wanting to try. Anyway, enough of that. Hopefully I can show you the finished work (along with ride armor, and spartas, and ...) before the end of the decade 😄. Quote
