M'Kyuun Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 Legendary actor, whether giving a live performance or lending his voice to an animated character, Mr. Asner left a strong impression. Hudson from Gargoyles, as well as Up's Carl are two notable performances that stand out in my mind, although there were so many more. A true loss to cinema, and I'm sure, to his family and friends. RIP, good sir.
Dynaman Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 It is a tossup who is my favorite screen Santa, his or Edmund Gwenn from Miracle on 34th street (the original). Rest in Peace and thanks for the excellent characters.
Big s Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 I think that’s still his voice in the upcoming Dug shorts. It’s always strange to hear someone’s voice on an upcoming project after they passed
TangledThorns Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Still working at 91 while my parents and in-laws struggle with dementia and other major health problems in their 70s. That being said if you look up Ed Asner on IMDB he signed up for many projects that sadly he will never finish.
Mog Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Still a trip that he also voiced Ed Wuncler I on the Boondocks too. To the old school.
