MCU will never be on the grown up level that DCU has been. I can’t really say the dcu is grown up either. Aquaman and Shazam were pretty goofy and the first suicide squad was silly as well. Their serious connecting films were just bad. The non related ones are good though , like the Batman and The joker. The Suicide Squad was the best one they have that connected to the dcu. Out of the serious ones that are connected, the only good one was the first Wonder Woman. Justice league was so bad they basically redid it to try to make it good Quote
