CloseEncounter Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 (edited) I spent the past year making a first person shooter game inspired by the show It's called Battroid Attack and you can play it for free in your browser, nothing to download, nothing to install It's available on Itch.io, Newgrounds, and Game Jolt. See the links below I also have videos on my YouTube Channel Check it out and let me know what you think Website: www.BattroidAttack.com Itch.io https://closeencounter.itch.io/battroid-attack Newgrounds https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/787248?updated=1617338587 Game Jolt https://gamejolt.com/games/BattroidAttack/602945 YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxkEWKPVvvJ92DsHzlj2pBQ Edited April 3, 2021 by CloseEncounter Clarify name of game Quote
Gerli Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Took a long time to load, but it was very fun to play. An amazing work indeed. Congratulations!! Quote
CloseEncounter Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 Thanks for the feedback. Most people have not commented positive or negative so far, so it is tough to tell what they think. You guys are the only ones to comment at all The game file is around 200MB, so even though you don't have to download the file to play, it does take quite a while to load into a browser Thanks for playing, and for commenting! Gerli Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 A friend of mine did get low FPS's when the map was filled with enemys. I noticed that too. Quote
CloseEncounter Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 Since I am new to 3D modelling, I spent too many faces on creating the Zentraedi in Heavy Armor (brown and green use the same model) I was trying to get smooth surfaces on the knee and elbow armor, and the helmet. That model has 4,300 faces which is just too much The other models are more reasonable with Light Armor (the purple) at 2,900 faces, the Battlepod at 1,750 faces and the Veritechs around 2,500 faces Knowing now that players get FPS drops, I would have reduced the faces on each model to keep the speed up. Live and learn. Thanks Quote
