I spent the past year making a first person shooter game inspired by the show

It's called Battroid Attack and you can play it for free in your browser, nothing to download, nothing to install

It's available on Itch.io, Newgrounds, and Game Jolt.  See the links below

I also have videos on my YouTube Channel

Check it out and let me know what you think

Website:           www.BattroidAttack.com

Thanks for the feedback.  Most people have not commented positive or negative so far, so it is tough to tell what they think.

You guys are the only ones to comment at all

The game file is around 200MB, so even though you don't have to download the file to play, it does take quite a while to load into a browser

Thanks for playing, and for commenting!

Since I am new to 3D modelling, I spent too many faces on creating the Zentraedi in Heavy Armor (brown and green use the same model)

I was trying to get smooth surfaces on the knee and elbow armor, and the helmet.  That model has 4,300 faces which is just too much

The other models are more reasonable with Light Armor (the purple) at 2,900 faces, the Battlepod at 1,750 faces and the Veritechs around 2,500 faces

Knowing now that players get FPS drops, I would have reduced the faces on each model to keep the speed up.  Live and learn.

Thanks

You can also implement LODs to improve performance., When I did a lot of 3D modeling for FlightSimulator I usually made 4 or 5 lods for every model.
