Man… I wish but I doubt Bandai will ever release it. Maybe a company like MoShow, Toynami, kitzConcepts, or Threezero will have the guts to release something like that under the Robotech brand.

Bandai got pretty far with it, and have rolled it out two or three times already. They know the questions begin once more when it's displayed again, so I do wonder if they are indeed trying to do it for real.

I just think the sales model might need to be like KC, or the TT Star Trek releases as of late with it being crowdfunded to get off the ground.

They showed off a tomahawk several times as well  ..……………….………………………………………………………………………..and I still hear only crickets

They're having too much fun with minimal change reissues for Frontier to do anything new. I wonder if the marketing guys are expecting a swell of interest when the new show hits so we're in a lull period where they're just trying to make sure people who want the existing toys can find them.

Speaking of minimal change reissues, it's about time Bandai reissued the Frontier cannon fodder DX VF-171 with the improved triangles and other durability improvements from last year's Revival VF-171EX.  My older Frontier DX VF-171 toys are long gone.😓

I'd also be up for buying a Macross Delta color DX VF-171 as well, which would just be a simple color change for Bandai. 

And still waiting for reissues of the YF-30, RVF-25 and VF-25A, as all of mine have yellowed.

Maybe it’s related to the agreement Big West and Harmony Gold reached, if you think about it, all the recent VF-1 toy release are all under the Robotech banner. I wonder if they agreed not to flood the market with competing VF-1 toys for the time being.

That is a level of professionalism I can't even imagine these two license holders having. BW makes nothing on the Robotech toys and Robotech toys have almost no penetration in Japan so not much reason for them to change what they're doing based on HG.

Did they change anything on the SDF-1 Reissue? I still have my premium version so I won't get it, but am still curious if this was a straight rerelease.

Come to think of it, I did get the standard release also last time. And then they announced they were doing the premium version with all the additional markings and glow in the dark paint, so I sold that off. I wonder if they will do the same thing again.

Bridge seems to be a more-detailed new casting in harder plastic.
