Shawn Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Ok, so there is this crazy series of Macross products from Seika Note, which actually includes what it IS, "ON" the product itself, meaning not a wrapper or sticker, but actually part of the item itself, including the size. I don't know why I find them so odd and interesting but I do. Its almost like the marketing/product development people took art that would be used to advertise the item in a catalog with size and description included, but accidently made THAT the product. Having a Macross poster with "Poster" and the size in the corner is just awesome. Here are some examples of these items, I would love to know if you have seen or found more! S Quote
Bolt Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 I can't believe the products that have come out of this franchise. Particularly the original.. Quote
jvmacross Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Oddly enough, I happen to have some of those "self-describing" goods posted on the world famous Macross Stationery Thread!..... Quote
Shawn Posted December 31, 2020 Author Posted December 31, 2020 oh...forgot one! Macross "The Greeting Card"! Quote
jvmacross Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Oddly enough....from my searches....the set that used a combination of the Mikimoto character watercolor illustrations listed above is the most prolific of the "self-describing" stationery collection......the other set, which is less readily found....utilizes cel-shaded Macross character illustrations like shown below in addition to the watercolor illustration shown of Minmay.....I am not sure if this was a "one-off"...perhaps Seika Note finally said enough is enough on "self-describing" products and only the "Notebook" made it to stores! Fortress_Maximus Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 Saw those 20 years ago always thought they were cheap knockoffs. Quote
jvmacross Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 LOL....I saw them too over the years but never paid much attention.....but they are so hot now.... Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 Good grief! They still look like cheap China or Taiwan knockoffs. Quote
jvmacross Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 One man's junk is another man's treasure....and that more or less goes for any Macross item produced by Ohsato back in the day! Quote
Shawn Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 In a magazine I found another addition... Macross...The Wallet! Quote

jvmacross Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 (edited) Nice finds! Don't think I have ever run across "The Wallet"........ I did add a variant "Binder" and "Free Case" to the Macross Archives - Midwest Division.... Edited September 25, 2021 by jvmacross Quote
