AAArgh!! In that way it reminds me of Oblivion, though at least that one gives us Jack 2.0 seeing Julia and her daughter just before the credits. Classic Nolan. He did a similar open ending with INCEPTION with the spinning top (totem). Quote

He wants to be John Wick, but ain’t that dude, so he has to use a different set of skills to get revenge the way he took out the guy in the pool is hilarious, I was just thinking of how things could go horribly wrong with those Edited November 14 by Big s Quote

Dynaman Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I guess this studio (or is it different companies behind this, Winnie the Pooh and whatever other one came out) made some money on the other garbage they released when characters hit the public domain. Quote

Putting any more thought into then that means putting more thought into it then the people that shovel this kind of stuff out. Quote
Dynaman Posted November 24 Posted November 24 What I "Yam" is garbage. I used to be all for having copyright expire but this has me rethinking that. (And the Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse ones). Then again even talentless hacks have to make a living somehow. Quote

All it’s proven by having the copyrights expire is that more than likely they’ll just crap on the character rather than do them justice in any new movie. I guess the only good Popeye movie was the Robin Williams one and everything else will just be a cheap cookie cutter turd of a horror movie. Then again, a modern Mickey movie by Disney would probably just be crap as well. Quote
Thom Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Watched Moana 2 today, and it was good, IMO. Entertaining with some good (if not really memorable) songs and it didn't feel like it was crutching on the first movie to get by. Unlike with Te Kā, we don't see much of the bad guy until the mid-credit scene, which show they are definitely leading into a third movie. I liked it and I would watch it again. Quote
Big s Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Watched Black Friday last night on prime. It’s bad, but does have some great moments and maybe the most creative way of defeating a giant monster that I’ve seen in a live action movie. Plus it has Bruce Campbell and yet again he finds a way to shine in a bad movie. The movie is pure cheese, but might be entertaining to those that are fans of Bruce or for those that can have fun with a bad movie. Quote

TangledThorns Posted December 11 Author Posted December 11 (edited) A new AMERICAN PSYCHO film?? Mind you this is not a remake of the original film with Christian Bale but a fresh adaptation of the book its based on. I never read the book but the original film is so iconic and meme worthy. Austin Butler is an excellent actor so count me in as... interested. https://www.ign.com/articles/austin-butler-to-play-patrick-batman-in-luca-guadagninos-new-american-psycho-movie Edited December 11 by TangledThorns Quote
electric indigo Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Though I found his remake of "Suspiria" somewhat lackluster, Guadagninos is one of the most interesting contemporary directors IMO. "Call me by your name" and "Challengers" are masterpieces. Looking forward to see this adaption, especially with Butler in the lead. Quote
