Honestly I'm a little sick of everything being the dark and gritty flawed antihero power corrupts scenario where everyone is a self serving a-hole schtick that Alan Moore created. I can't help but feel it's about time the pendulum swings the other way and we return to genuinely good people doing good things because they want to, not because they have some secret agenda, are adrenaline addicted kill crazies, or are actually horrible people. Agree 100%. In a world where everyone seems to be evil nobody is really evil. Quote

Wasn’t Dafoe already in a Nosferatu movie? all joking aside, I prefer a more cursed vampire movie over pretty people vampires that have absolutely no consequences for their “curse”. Quote
Thom Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Does he glitter? DOES HE GLITTER!? Seriously, this is looking pretty good. Quote
TangledThorns Posted June 25 Author Posted June 25 Looks good. Ironic that Willem Dafoe is in tho. Quote

It is literally a movie from one camera, though they do apparently show early history in that spot before the main story starts. Looks really interesting, almost like an old TV stage show. And dang, he looks almost as young as he was in Splash! Quote

Dynaman Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Direct to Amazon? Another bad sign. That and making me think of "Leanord: Part 6" is a bad omen. But being on Amazon I can watch it without paying anything extra. Quote

TangledThorns Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Wife and I saw A Quiet Place: Day One last night, Good thrilling film and the cat was the main star, lol. That being said I noticed: Spoiler There must have been heavy editing as there were scenes from the trailer that was not in the final film. Disappointed there wasn't more context into the alien attack with media reaction or showing how the military responded ineffectively. Quote

TangledThorns Posted July 9 Author Posted July 9 (edited) Joey, do you like movies about gladiators? Edited July 9 by TangledThorns Quote
Seto Kaiba Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Hmm... Gladiator II could be a very interesting film indeed. I remember my Latin teacher had a lot of fun picking the historical inaccuracies (and accurate moments) in the original to pieces in class. Quote
