Storm did a few figures from it, but kinda left out a lot of my favorites and honestly, I’d have more space for them in this scale. Quote

Is there really a larger market for crap than for decently-sculpted figures with modern articulation? 🤨 Quote

People only have a certain amount of money. They can either do a simple nostalgia style toy for cheap and have a chance at a profit, or produce a really cool toy that costs more to make and sell that sends them into bankruptcy. There’s only a handful of consumers that even remember V at this point and even fewer of those that would ever care that there’s a toy, so they produced something cheap and easy. Quote

Is there really a larger market for crap than for decently-sculpted figures with modern articulation? 🤨 As an 80's kid who graduated from Star Wars to GI Joe, I can't go back to 5POA. Maybe these are for people who never made that jump? Then again I really only like 3.75 inch and don't like the "modern" 4 inch figures; they look like gangly messes to me. I'm fine with '85 Joe style retro articulation don't need "modern" additions, though swivel wrists (standard for most retro o-ring kickstarters) are probably okay. I think for 5POA people and people like me, it's wanting what we had at the peak of our childhoods. 5POA people just peaked earlier. 😁 5 hours ago, Big s said: Yes, unfortunately. I wonder how much more it would be to actually produce something with more modern articulation though. A dollar extra per fig at most? These 5POA generally retail for an obscene $20 or so from what I've seen. Couldn't they just pass that extra buck along? I wouldn't pay any price for 5POA, but I'd pay an extra dollar for GI Joe level articulation. Edited Wednesday at 09:31 PM by danth Quote

As far as bootleg companies like what this one appears to be, they can range drastically since they don’t pay for the actual licensing. Some of the companies try the smaller simple figures and then if they do well jump to a larger scale or more articulation or both, so there’s always a little hope for something better down the line. Basically, if people show interest then something better is a good possibility, and if they don’t do it, another company might Quote
sh9000 Posted Thursday at 01:45 AM Author Posted Thursday at 01:45 AM I would love to have ships to go with the STLZ Creations custom made figures but I'm hoping Ramen Toy still comes out with V figures in 1/18 and 1/12 scale. Quote
