Not gonna lie, my first reaction was "rebranding the sequel trilogy already?"... but this might be marginally better.

I'd be curious if they executed Order 66.

But other than Echo and probably the squad leader, the characters themselves are kinda one-note.

Has potential, but we'll see.

I was bored by the Bat Batch, was glad to see them removed from the story.....but since I'm already paying for D+ I guess I'll watch when it is released

This.

Yeah, I can’t say I’m interested. Maybe if they were introduced a season earlier, I might have more interest.

I remember SW fans didn't care for REBELS when they first saw it's trailer years ago but here we are :)

I wonder if they'll continue to use the same CGI animation style as REBELS and CLONE WARS. I just hope they don't use what that gawd awful cel shading animation that they used in RESISTANCE, I think that killed the series for me.

That being said, can we get a anime inspired SW series... please?!? I mean Disney should just hire this guy FFS!

Wow that was excellent; I've never seen it before.

Is that Fennec Shand at the 0:41 mark?

Curious what their Order 66 moment will be.

But they were overstaying their welcome around the third or fourth Clone Wars ep.

Wonder if they kept the Amidala nosecone art on their ship. :spiteful:

Good eye. I bet yes to that.

So . . . Bad Batch + Precocious Kid (TM)

Of course, Ahsoka and Ezra started out the same way and grew to become memorable additions to Star Wars lore.  So, we’ll see how that pans out.

Also, spotted Rex in one of those scenes.  Probably will explain how he got Wolfe and Greggor, perhaps?

And I’ve probably said this in another thread, but don’t Tech and Echo kinda perform the same function for the team?

Hard pass for me for now...didn't care for their CW intro episodes, and the kid looks annoying and very "token" Disney. In 3 Seasons, if everyone is all goo goo over it, I'll catch up..

Palpatine was in the first teaser trailer.

Personally, I didn't dislike the Bad Batch when they appeared in season 7. This seems like an opportunity to flesh them out beyond one note characters, and the idea of a bunch of clones going all A-Team post Clone Wars sounds like fun. Plus it has Filoni at the helm and I loved Clone Wars so I'll be checking it out.

Is their ship/transport still gonna rock the Padme noseart?

Kinda bummed that Echo didn’t keep the handprint on his new armor.

While The Bad Batch was definitely not my favorite thing about the last season of The Clone Wars, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much more sophisticated the characterizations are in "Aftermath," the first episode of this new spin-off.  There are real conflicts within the group, debates about duty and ethics, and loyalties are tested to their limits as the Republic becomes the Empire.  It's also great to have regular voice actors return to roles such as Caleb "Kanan" Dume, Saw Garrera, and Admiral Tarkin, and we get to hear the great Ian McDiarmid as the Emperor again. ^_^

Oh, and it was 71 minutes long! :o

There has to be or the show would not work.  In Clone Wars the whole team was basically one character wrapped up in the squad.  In this they have to stand on their own.  How well the show does will depend on how well they pull that off without making it forced.  Easier to do with characters that were only around a few episodes.  Normally this kind of thing is done when a secondary character on a long running show gets a spinoff and that is more difficult since the identity of the character is more ingrained as a sidekick to the main character(s).

Promising start.

Kinda tripped me up that Omega's

a female.

Hopefully, she's not some oddball clone of Palpatine or anything and is just aberrant clone of Jango.  Really hope Tech did his homework on that.

Makes sense that one of them would've went Order 66.  But wonder if the plan is to stretch out the deal with Crosshair for the whole season or resolve it sooner rather than later.

Still not feeling Echo's armor, and he still seems redundant with Tech there.  Is he supposed to be the team's defacto droid?

Also, I was hoping the credits would list Dee Bradley Baker's name multiple times instead of the one credit line he got!

Lastly, I guess Anakin was successful in getting that Padme noseart removed on the Batch's ship.

EDIT:

Spoiler

Liked how they did the Palpatine rescue scene from ROTS in the Clone Wars animation style.  Pretty cool quick little nod there.

Really enjoyed it, even liked Omega.  The trailers had really turned me off to the character.  I think it will be interesting to see how Filoni handles her,

Spoiler

it seems that she's being set up to be some kind of observational savant, IE she can do anything she sees first.

If Kathleen Kennedy were behind this I'd be very skeptical, however Filoni has proven that he can make the obnoxious teen character into something interesting and beloved with both Asoka and Ezra, so I'll reserve judgement for now.  Besides my guess may be completely off.

It wasn't bad. Wasn't to thrilled they re-wrote a particular character's back story, but I'll survive that, not the first time this has happened in the SW Universe.

I wonder if Baker is getting a bonus for all those voice overs lol

Watched it last night, wonder who the kid is a clone of, or grows up to be.  Waiting to be mind-blown.

I'm happy that the old voice actors are back too, they deserve more work.
