wm cheng Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Wow! Is that a decal he made from scans of the original poster or did he freehand paint that all in?!?! Quote

derex3592 Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Arcadia should do this on a VF-1J 1/60. I would insta-buy! Quote

Shawn Posted August 10, 2023 Author Posted August 10, 2023 ok, that takes the taco. Wow. Can we get a decal set we can apply for us non-skilled fans? Quote
MechTech Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 That was freehand from the earlier photos! CRAZY and AWESOMELY COOL! A cool original idea too! - MT Quote

Pretty cool concept. It really fools the eye into thinking it's an animated picture. Thanks for posting that! Quote

Chas Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) That VF -1J is by the same fella whose VF-1D and VT-1 I posted back on the 1st page of this thread. Dude is still killing it! He also does a Wave Starship Troopers Powered Suit in B&W manga-esque style using gradient tone transfers like the old Letratone sheets. It's way back from May 2015. While working on the new kit of that power armor, the first mages of that build would come up regularly while I was searching for references. The guy does amazing work Quote

nightmareB4macross Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 This somehow crosses that bridge of model building and cosplay. Quote
