I got into collecting the Mospeada toys late in the game, not til like 2012.I bought all the poseable Soldier mode Alphas. The Beta's I managed to get for really cheap both here on MW & the RT store when there were on sale a few years back. If someone puts up the Red & Green Alpha for a decent price I'd get them. Quote
Tober Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 C'mon Sentinel, make with the classic ride armors! Quote

tekering Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 The Evolution Toy Dark Legioss has landed. It features all the design innovations and quality of construction we've come to expect from Evo Toys... Surprisingly, however, it comes with two pilot options. The smaller-scale Borough Superior figures are also a welcome addition to your collection*, despite their awkward poses and proportions. * Y'know, if you collect that sort of thing. Quote

That could be it from ET. I don't expect them to do the Drone Legioss seeing as it would take actual retooling. Mine should ship after the Golden Week holiday (because I know how much people here want to know that sort of thing ). Quote

How tall in millimeters are the standing figures? (mine are packed away atm) I'm curious as to what scale they are... Quote
jenius Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 I got my prep in progress email from NY but I suspect I'll have a long wait... which is fine since I'm currently playing with my KitzConcept fast packs and Hi-Metal R VF-1D. Quote
tekering Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Well, the Dark Legioss passes the bare minimum required for an Evolution Toy: it cuts a heroic figure. But look closer, and problems are immediately apparent: See how that panel just hangs loose under the right arm? There's no enough tension to hold it up, and nothing to lock it in place where it belongs... ...and the wrist lacks the strength or the tension to hold the gun straight, too. The port wing has a properly-molded tab to lock the wings into the fuselage for Armo-Soldier mode, but the starboard wing has only a malformed stump. The right forearm, at least, fits fairly flush with the shoulder (as long as you don't tab the arm into the leg below it)... ...but the left forearm won't go in any further than this. And look at that glue residue on the shoulder! In fact, glue residue and grease are all over the toy... ...and the surface shows visible stress marks and oily fingerprints, even before transformation is attempted. It's a pain to deal with returns through Amazon.jp, but I can't accept this garbage. 6 hours ago, Tober said: Damn. Yeah, that's about how I feel about the quality control. Mine's a total crap show. 6 hours ago, Tober said: How tall in millimeters are the standing figures? (mine are packed away atm) I'm curious as to what scale they are... They're 1:60th. Note how well they display with Bandai, Yamato, and Arcadia figures at the same scale: I display them with the Toynami Alphas, and they scale really well together. Quote
Tober Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Sorry to hear it, hopefully Amazon will sort it out for you. Hopefully mine won't be a complete lemon turkey, but it's not looking good... Quote

Just enough to do this: I recreated this scene with the actual cels. The individual cels can be seen on my RS sight as well. http://oden.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_info.asp?ItemID=424004 Quote

tekering Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 So, Amazon immediately sent me a replacement... ...and I'm happy to say it's a major improvement. With proper tabs on the wings this time, everything locks up securely in the back... No glue residue on the surface this time around, and the joints in the right arm are now strong enough to handle the weight of the gun. However, there are some unique problems with the new one as well, like that stress mark on the protruding peg... ...and, while much less greasy overall, there's still a significant amount of oil on the thighs. Still, it's good to know they aren't all garbage. Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 i'm glad in my personal head canon i don't need the dark legioss. lol. seems like the quality control has actually gotten worse since the other ones. glad your second copy was better. Quote
jenius Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Does anyone have a high quality image of the Mospeada mecha scale chart? I've seen tiny images of it before but I couldn't find it in the Mospeada Complete Works Art Book. Quote

jenius Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Thanks, Size Chart 2 was what I was looking for. I wonder if it's fan made or actually exists in a publication somewhere. Quote

I'd say official, since it's in the MOSPEADA Complete Art Works book: Here's a closeup of the second one: There are also these different size comparisons in the old ARTMIC Design Works B-Club Special: Quote

505thAirborne Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) While going through all my stuff in storage I found an extra box and inside that was more Mospeada toys, I actually forgot I had more toys in there. So I decided to take some pics, enjoy! Edited May 5, 2019 by 505thAirborne Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Awesome Mospeada collection!!! I see two Pilotless type Quote
505thAirborne Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Thanks Ignacio! The CM's isn't the greatest since there are no "Locking tabs" but if you can still find it for a good price, grab a Pilot-less Type Dark Legioss or two, they look awesome! Quote
derex3592 Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Still waiting for my Shadow Beta Toynami....... Quote

derex3592 Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 I have high hopes for the new Legioss from Sentinel, maybe a TREAD will follow eventually! Quote
SuperHobo Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 I'm assuming the sentinel legioss will go up for preorder maybe later this month? I'm hoping we can get some sweet shots of the solider mode's articulation and hot underside shots of fighter mode. Quote
easnoddy Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Got the ET shadow legioss, definitely the worst of the bunch. An attempt to milk the mold to death. The new arms are too short for the fighter mode leg tab holes (out of the box). The CMS dark legioss (both) are way better than this guy. I'll leave it in soldier or diver eventually. Quote
jenius Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Oh man, what a bummer. Mine just shipped so I probably won't be able to whoosh it around until Monday. Quote
Knight26 Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 I have an opportunity to get a heavily yellow red Gakken Legioss. Looks complete other than the gun and figures, but has the pilot in cockpit. How much should my max offer be? Quote
jenius Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 The pilot isn't removable so if its' not in there someone did some work on the toy. No broken kneecaps and all wings accounted for is nice. I paid $150 shipped for a complete with unused stickers red Alpha without yellowing not too long ago if that helps you identify a top end. It would also be worth more (though not for a particularly good reason) if it's stamped "Made in Japan" as the Gakken Japan red Legioss is harder to come by. Quote
Knight26 Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Signat It's stamped Signapore. Like I said, looks complete, all stickers applied, just mistransformed in the pictures. Quote
