no3Ljm Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Based on the artwork the Fighter seems looks shorter compared to other company's take. And it looks like the crotch joint slides up on the figure probably to help the legs make shorter in Fighter. Quote

I think it is transformable. Looking at anymoon blog pictures, there are tabs on the forearms and shoulder missiles pods. Also, the middle missile pod has a peg to peg the gun on it, but need to remove the magazine clip first. And...., the gun has a T shaped holes on each side, look like the magazine clip can be attached on it when you set the gun on the middle missile pod. Hopefully this also opens up a possibility that there are hard points on the wing to attach the gun. Edited February 12, 2019 by eyl Quote

But the excitement for the line isn't making me worried. The Alpha looks pretty good too. Was the non-transforming Alpha there? You meant this big vinyl figure one from Future or Action Toys? Quote

I have to add that the reimagining designs of the Ride Armors added more uniqueness on Yellow’s ride. Bringing it back for comparison!! I thk I prefer the plain missile panel looks of the prototype..and also Noel’s choice of blue! Quote

I thk I prefer the plain missile panel looks of the prototype..and also Noel’s choice of blue! Aaawwww, Seti. You remembered. To be honest, me too, I prefer the blue for the old Yellow kits and figures. It's lighter and it has more red hue. Which for me, it really looks good for Yellow as a character. The blue they use is too blue for my taste. But, like I said before, it's not going to stop me for getting it. Period. Quote
RavenHawk Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Personally (and this is all just personal taste when it comes to these details), I prefer the new color. Something about it just makes me think higher-end product, as compared to the color posted above on the old prototype, which looks more toy-ish to me. I don't know, maybe I'm associating it with some other cheaper figure? Aesthetically, I still like the hexagons. Quote
no3Ljm Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 As long that is not as gloss like that and more in-line with how matte the previous 2 bikes are, I'm all good. Quote

I agree. I'm guessing it's a fairly matte finish, just with bright lights shining on it in the display. Quote

Stig and Ray can share proportions, but Yellow should be much taller and thinner than the others. Since these are reimagined designs, one could always say that in this reimagined universe that Yellow has similar proportions to Stick and Ray. Speaking of designs, does anyone know if Sentinel commissioned Shinji Aramaki to redesign Yellow's Ride Armor, or did they do it themselves? Quote

RavenHawk Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Definitely looking forward to seeing a more production-ready version of this prototype. Quote

I thk I prefer the plain missile panel looks of the prototype..and also Noel’s choice of blue! Yeah, I like the cleaner look of the initial prototype too, especially for bike mode. The above pic already shows that Yellow's ride stands out from the two Mospeada's headlights/chest assemblies. And count me as liking noELjm's coloring just a bit more. Hopefully, the production version will be just a shade or two lighter (or the blue will be mixed with a little more white or gray). Plus, it would make it easier to see the black markings on the shoulder armors. They still have time to make tweaks before final production, right? Edited February 12, 2019 by Mog Quote
captain america Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I can't help but wonder if the front fairing/missile housings aren't simply a separate part that tabs-in for the open/firing mode. Don't mind the choice of dark blue, but Yellow's onesie would look nicer if it was sky blue rather than the Ley blue on the prototype. The latter is a pretty realistic change that they can make between now and production. Quote

Mommar Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 I'm learning to appreciate the re-imagined proportions of the Legios. Quote
Mazinger Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 That's one damn good looking fighter mode in my book! Quote
jenius Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 That's a previous prototype, it may be different now. I heard a lot of changes have happened... But that may mean they just tightened up tolerances Quote

I checked and didn't save the image myself. Unless it's still in my unsorted area. Whichever option gives us the best fighter and robot mode is fine for me. If I have to I'll get a separate non-transforming robot that will be closer to the anime. Quote

easnoddy Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Can someone summarize the differences between the v1 and reissue Sentinel mospeadas? I have the originals. Just better fit on ball joints? Quote

Some says it has tighter ball joints on some armor parts, e.g. like the ankle guard that doesn't fall off that much compared to the first release. The fragile handle is still the same coz I remember seeing a Twitter post that he broke the handle on the reissue. Both my copies from the first release is still ok. Mog Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Looks like Yellow’s cloth is not “Rey blue,” but more of that chalky grey blue. Good choice there by Sentinel. Still wish the armor wasn’t so deep dark blue and was just a few more shades lighter. Along with confirmation of the chest missiles, we also need to see how the blades look fully retracted. Quote
