1/28 is such an oddball scale but I suppose it would be at home around 1/32 or 1/24 subjects, depending on the pilot's size.  I do consider myself officially... intrigued.

I definitely agree with going to a large scale for the Legioss, 1/48 is just too small in my opinion. It needs some ROOM.
The 1/28 is close to the original Gakken 1/32 scale which is great. Larger  = potentially more durable as they can pack in more material into the important bit,  potentially

1/48 is too small: in building a 1/48 Legioss, it was only as big in soldier mode as a VF-1:

At the 1/32 scale, they would be able to do better detail (personally, I would redo the cockpit and put a 1/72 scale fig into the 1/48 myself, but what do I know?) and more convincingly. Some mechs just don't translate well to some scales.

1:28 is the B2Five scale so that must be the Pose+. 1/48 isn't that bad, sentinel did a great job with it. Sadly, 1/60 would be too small.

1/28 would be awesome if done right.  Sadly I didn't pick up th b2 five ride armors that would scale.    Sentinels 1/48 scale are pretty good and I've hardly had enough time to enjoy them and the tlead  isn't even out yet..and we are getting a huge 1/28 legioss?  I'm intrigued.  Selfishly I've always wonderd what a legioss would look like with a smaller proportioned  cockpit such that  1/60 scale would be roughly as large as a Yamato/Arcadia 1/60 VF-1.

I wonder how much this POSE+ Legioss will be. Based on the previous pictures, it looks quite detailed, hope it isn’t $400+

I'd buy a HMR Legioss.

Has Bandai ever done anything for Mospeada. I couldn’t think of anything, but it would be cool to see

Only way I can see this happening is if Bandai decides to produce a new show (Mospeada: Frontier ???) and believe they can market their merch during its run. But then the characters and story would probably end up more like Delta than the original or even the genesis breakers side story. :unknw:

Imagine Bandai made Mospeada Models and made them as cursed as their Transforming 1/72 VF-1 line 💀

Luckily they’ve dropped those years ago

They do some surprising classics lately, but I think moderoid would beat them to kits, but hmr is an odd possibility. But it’s a long shot since they’ve never touched the franchise

I think the 1/28 Legioss is meant to be in scale with those small transforming cyclones Toynami made.

You mean B2five. Toynami usually doesn’t seem make anything

Finally secured my preorders for the Riobot Tread and 2 x Legioss ETA reissue from a local shop. Seeing as the preorder deadline is until Mar. 6, I wasn't in too much of a hurry. Came out to around $625 for the 3 with a $75 downpayment. This is gonna be a long wait...

Considering how long ago the prototype was first shown, it’s already been a long wait.

But the end of summer (when these will be initially released) will be here before we know it.

Just found an interesting anime space military Visual Novel game.
Now part of me wish Mospeada should have its own visual novel...maybe like flashback of a soldier in present time or a desk clerk looking through testimonies (mostly implying the "game over" as deceased soldiers).
Maybe OFFICIAL art of female pilots in Mars Base (complete with jumpsuit).

We won't be turning this into a 'check out this auction' thread, I swear, but check out this auction...I think it warrants a break from the unwritten rule

Could this be the original painting by Suzuki? Its incredibly hard to see from the pictures.

The sharp border seems odd, but guess there is something called 'tape' to get a sharp line like that,

The only other orig full canvas drawings I know about were from Takani, but they went to the edge

Wondering what you guys think. The exchange rate brings it 'down' (LOL) to just $2000 USD

Always loved this picture, it was also used for the Robotech promo posters from 1985

If the date he gives is correct it was produced before the show premiered.

Machine translation gives me this for the description in the listing:

Original painting "Armored Genesis Mospida" B2 size (approx. 72cm×51cm)
The TV anime "Armored Genesis Mospida" was aired from October 1983 (Showa 58) to March 1984. On the back of this original drawing, there is a date of August 14, 1983 (Showa 58), and a handwriting of "Hankou of Artmic Co., Ltd.", "Toshimitsu Suzuki of Artmic", and "Mr. Imai Kagaku". When I looked it up on the Internet, I found the following website.

Why isn't that in a frame or at least a bag! It's looking pretty worse for wear too. It's IS COOL though! - MT

I hope the seller posts some higher quality pics, especially for a high dollar item like that.

Assuming it's an original, the price isn't high. That said, it definitely needs higher resolution pics. Hand-rendered illustrations have brush strokes and other tell-tale signs of production which I can't discern with this piece. If anything, the reflection makes it look like some sort of laminated print. While the back looks like an illustration board, it's a bit too clean for something from the early 80s and, as mentioned above, why isn't it framed, if only to avoid damage? Also, there are no crop marks, which would be standard for original artwork for this era.

Well it’s definitely tough to tell from the bad picture here, but as a bit of a plus to its possible authenticity, if you follow around the edges you can see color that has gotten under where borderline tape would have been. As though in a few spots paint leaked under the tape that may have been there. Other than that I can’t really see anything else from this quality of picture to say this is the real deal.

From further down in the description the translation reads: ( bold italic emphasis is mine)
In the original drawing, "ARTMIC" is written on the brick. It is said that the picture is not printed because it is uneven with ink, but since we are amateurs, please check the actual product or ask a question. We obtained it from the Kanto region in 2001. I don't know now whether the person is an artmic person or an Imai science person, so there is no way to confirm whether the painting was drawn by Toshimitsu Suzuki.

Maybe someone  will ask for close- up pics of the areas with 'uneven ink'?

It does look like there is color bleeding into the edges on a few spots.  The reflected area looks like a brush stroke to me because of the uneven parallel lines in one direction.  It could be that it was varnished to protect the medium form smudging.  Awesome if it's the real deal.

Looks like an illustration done on illustration board and not a print.  I've kept some of mine from the early 90s in a portfolio and they age over time the same way.  I recognized the masking tape around the board for the standard white border.  There is a coating or fixative over the artwork.

Looks like there is a bidder, so it will be sold. B2 size as well...that would be a very nice addition to any collection.

Can I crowd-fund $2k for a painting real quick?  :)

looking through my poster collection, they took elements from it to create another variant too
