This was my strategy too, because I didn't want to pay upfront but Amazon has already charged me. And to add insult to misery, I even went ahead and ordered the reissue Legioss Eta which was also been charged.

Anyone had their Sentinel Ride Armor crack at the swivel joints at the rear of the bike? Flipped my Houquet bike over to access the kick stand and found one completely cracked and the other with what seems to be a hairline crack developing. The figure has been rarely messed with. This now makes all four that suffered cracks, so extremely disappointed to say the least with the build quality.

I've never opened my Houquet but I was excited thinking it had redesigned swing bars that would be less likely to crack... This is obviously a bummer.

Charged me immediately as well.  So much cool.  At least they have that price guarantee where they'll give you the best price once the product releases.  I guess that's something.  I find the shipping from Amazon JP to be fair to the US as well vs some other Japanese retailers.  I just paid nearly 110 USD for 2 sets of Ozma Valks.

The price at Amazon was already lowered, I forwarded them the link to another shop and they dropped it.

Still gotta paint it up and may need to jerry-rig a way to extend the length between the trigger and the handle.

What happened to this being "Japan Only"?  If they are saying Robotech, then shouldn't this be available everywhere?

I always thought it was only the missiles that were a “Japan shipping address only” exclusive.

But the Tread itself is available to any location (sans missiles).

The normal Japanese stores aren't listing it and say it's only available in Japan. In the meantime, some international stores have listed it like bbts. It's a mess that sentinel should figure out. If I could order it on HLJ today, I would.

I tried finding it on the usual Japanese sites like hlj and hobbysearch and they wouldn’t list them . Hobbysearch has a weird work around to view their Japanese only items and I think I posted it a page or so back. Basically you have to go to the url and erase the English part, then the Japanese version of their site comes up and I did find their listing for the rerelease of the legios, and the basic tread. It wouldn’t show on the English version of their site. It’s the same trick you have to use to view their Bandai model kits.

So weird that the Japan-only rule is being enforced more tightly than Macross releases. At least with the Macross international embargo, the Japanese web stores are still able to list them for international customers, but not this Tread.

Also odd that their rerelease of the legioss is mixed in there, while aoshima just did a rerelease of the legioss transforming kits with no issues. I really don’t know the reasons here for the decision

Exactly! Even when BigWest and HG were at their most contentious, it was never difficult to order from a toy from Japan and have them ship it internationally. Very strange what is happening here and I can only assume it's driven by Sentinel. If I had to guess, they received a strongly worded letter from HG saying they need a license to sell internationally and they have WAY over-reacted to that. Of course, then they go and tweet about Robotech so... that seems to dispute my guess.
