Perxion Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Hi Guys, I finished the pilot Jim (Lunk) for the jeep truck. Scale 1:48, very difficult to paint on that scale and with a brush. The joints are similar to a MASK Kenner but on this scale More photos on Instagram. @mekanimuss thank you! Quote

Mommar Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Interesting, Amazon is charging up front for these. Quote
jenius Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Why is the Tread or Legioss reissue still not on the usual websites? Quote

I'm fearful that, as the guest of honor, there might not be opportunities to actually meet him or get anything signed. Does anyone had prior experiences with this show and this level of guest? Quote

Pat S Posted November 26 Posted November 26 (edited) I haven't visited Macrossworld in ages. The Sentinel Riobot Tlead/Tread/Beta brought me back. I wanted to also share some pics of my cousins 100% scratchbuilt Horizont he made. It was a long process, he modeled it on the computer, then some of it was 3d printed, others were made out of plastic sheets IIRC. I thought it was REALLY well done. He asked if I was interested in letting him build my old Moscato 1/32 Legioss and I definitely will let him, but I also kinda want to sell it, but I don't think it will fetch as much as I paid for it. I added some of the other models and projects he's done. Edited November 26 by Pat S Quote
Chronocidal Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Beautiful! One of these days I really need to get my hands on a Gunstar to make. Quote
505thAirborne Posted November 26 Posted November 26 The custom HORIZONT is amazing, the detailing is top notch. But this Legioss/Tread combo... is work of art!!! Quote

davidwhangchoi Posted November 26 Posted November 26 any pre-orders with missiles? Going to eventually proxy but want to see any others offer it. Quote

Pat S Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I have more pics of his other models, but don't want to piss off anyone by posting more non-Mospeada related ones. Also not sure if he wants everything shared. I only asked about the Horizont. I'll tell him about the positive comments! Quote

Briareos Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Nin-Nin-Game has it as available again. https://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/sentinel/154934-riobot-armored-genesis-mospeada-ab-01h-tread-148-limited-edition-bonus-sentinel-.html Quote
MKT Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I'm just wondering, how canon are the missiles? I'm so used to remembering micro-missiles being fired instead that I don't really recall full-sized ones being used. But then again these Sentinel Mospeada mechs are technically reinterpretations. Quote
Mog Posted November 27 Posted November 27 They never really had a full payload on the Tread’s wings in the actual anime. But it just looks kewl with weapons fully loaded on the bomber or the combo. Quote

Mommar Posted November 28 Posted November 28 (edited) I decided to e-mail HLJ and all they said it's a "Japan Exclusive." Edited November 28 by Mommar Quote
jenius Posted November 28 Posted November 28 I know sentinel never bothered with a Robotech license, but that shouldn't matter. We bought all our macross items from HLJ for years. Sentinel is shooting themselves in the foot here. Quote
Froy Posted November 28 Posted November 28 I was wondering why HLJ wasn't putting preorders up. Also Sentinel didn't have any info on when preorders would be available for retailers. It is like companies don't really want our money. Quote
Mog Posted November 28 Posted November 28 ^^At least it’s not Bandai preorder levels of stupidity. The non-exclusive version of the Tread is still available for anyone that wants to get it still. Quote

Duymon Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) hot Dayam that was expensive. Couuld care less about missiles I'd never use Thank god Amzn JP doesn't charge until shipping like everywhere else Edited November 29 by Duymon Quote

Mog Posted November 29 Posted November 29 I was able to preorder one from Amazon Japan and will be getting it shipped directly to the US. So 🤷♂️ Got the reds relatively quickly this way before too (Zeta Legioss and Houquet). Quote
Chronocidal Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Yeah, not selling them from the other shops is bizarre. There weren't any limits on the Legioss like this. Maybe they weren't expecting something this expensive to sell, and decided to keep the production numbers much lower? The exchange rate is probably hurting this one though. The Yen price is much higher than the Legioss was, but on our end it doesn't feel that much more.. what about $50 more for something that much bigger? Quote
Big s Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Just for fun, I tried the Gundam model trick at hobbysearch and both releases show up. You have to erase the English part of their url and the website comes in Japanese text and the second page for anime robots and it comes up a bit further down since the preorder was up the other day.they usually do this for items that they don’t sell outside Japan, like the Gundam model kits. I’ve never seen them do this for any non Bandai item though. I don’t think it’s the extra missiles or anything.the same page below is in a slightly different order in English, but missing these two toys Quote
