I’m sure they’ll show more pics and features of the Tread in the upcoming months.

Just the fact that they’re showing colored prototype pics now and said they’ll be taking orders before the end of the year are good signs.

It’s coming pretty soon. We got Halloween in a month and every annoying store is gonna start advertising for Christmas in a couple weeks. Soon the stress of Christmas will set in and get you through the wait

I wonder if they're gonna sell the tread with the Legioss as a set along a stand alone version? Also  the retracting landing gear on the front maybe something they've engineered to stowaway but I wonder how they will address the rear landing gears . What we've seen in the past was to part swap this complicated strut mechanism but given Sentinnel goes overboard with the transformation sequence I will be surprised if they can pull the magic rabbit out of their engineering hats.

Looking over the Toynami, the rear landing gears are placed on the back half, on the block that has the center booster.

Assuming the boom is only in the front block, there should be enough room in this rear block to house the landing gears.

Now how to design it somewhat consistent with lineart and be able to hold up the bomber’s weight?  That’s beyond my pay grade. 😅

I still don't get why in every PR shot I see, the rider's feet aren't going on foot pegs. I mean, this DOES have pegs for that, right...?

The toe point of the boot is sitting on the foot rest/pegs. It's up to the end user how they position the legs and feet so they sit on the foot rest/pegs more naturally.

Also this slider bar needed to be brought forward and attached to the middle of the Cyclone.

I'm still waiting on a store I'm comfortable with to offer it. You can get Moshow stuff on amazon so I'm expecting wider availability soon.

Were you uncomfortable with BBTS? I know they have a delay compared to others, but they gave me some absolutely amazing customer service when I had an issue a few years back, and very much earned my business... except for when I find an item elsewhere for substantially less money.

Just the delay turned me off.

More & more I look at this promo, the more I see some AI shenanigan involved in making this  busy looking design. I'm impressed with the engineering of the soldier figure but they stop me at the level where they completely lost the narrative  of the design which was never sold as a part swapper. I have a  1/20 scale and they manage to make this without the half baked ready to serve the masses "schlop" of  a toy! Thanks Toynami for not encouraging me to buy any of your products!

Is there anything we can reference back to about the Beta fighter though?

I know I have pics of the prototype from Summer 2005.  But I don’t recall the partnership with Aoshima and Toynami being announced until a year or so later.

And I think we can all agree they made some horrible design choices with the Alpha:  diecast in all the wrong places, whatever disintegrating material they used to make the hands, the brittle/refuses-to-stay-together-with-crazy-glue “material” they made the hip joints out of, and the banana boat fighter mode a few were cursed with.  Just to name a few.

The Alphas were also always tricky to pose nicely in battloid mode and weren’t exactly the sturdiest of toys.

I posted something on Page 362 where I wish the wheels can still be rotated towards more to the body in Ride-Armor form. And I found a video via Weibo where it shows the wheels are indeed close to the back of the figure. Interesting. ;)

That is a bit of good news. At least the wheels also look higher now. :good:

Credits to @glane21 for this art drawn months ago.

Mostly based on classic Mospeada design but added mix of headcanon (like under garments, ID Tags, and Skirt Dress Uniform) and new ones (Beret).

(Spoilered due to size)
