Slave IV Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) I don't come around these parts too often but since the recent purchase thread got neutered in the main section, came by to drop these pics: Now I just need some Hovertanks! This figure is pretty fantastic overall, just like the rest of the KC figures. I saw some hate as I glanced through the thread but to me, the 1/12 figures are the gems of KCs products. Way better than their mechas and the best figures ever made for the characters they've done so far. Not sure if it was mentioned before but most KC figures have an unexpected feature that most companies wouldn't bother with, which is another thing that sets these figures apart. This one's backpack actually opens up and while it doesn't fit much, it's enough to fit an extra faceplate or optional hands. Pretty cool! Edited May 4 by Slave IV Quote

I still have mine in the pile of loot at bbts. It’s giving me hope that maybe a couple other characters might get a figure Quote

jvmacross Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Is it shot angles or does it seem they went back to the original "skinny" leg regult and also reduced the size of the small and large missile attachments? The original teased attachments look larger to me....and the small missile pods looks different too... Quote
jvmacross Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Wonder if they forgot about the grey visor for the GBP? And the legs don't look as "thicc"... Quote
Chronocidal Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) Yeah, that's really weird, those lower legs on the two versions do not look anything alike. I'll just call them the "red stripe" versions, and they look much thinner. Markings aside, the darker part near the toe has a completely different width, giving it a much shaper angle, and the portion just above the knee joint is much thinner where it attaches to the hip. Also, the lip around the edge of the toe looks thicker, and some of the panel lines in the lower leg are entirely different, stopping with a panel line cut crosswise over the front of the ankle, rather than ending into the gray portion above the ankle. I had to look really hard to spot the differences and wondering if its due to the camera, but this encapsulates it. Quote
jvmacross Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I see this guy never demonstrated the "DX" hip joint...I have not either ever since the one from my VF-1J V 2.0 broke....for me it may as well not even exist on the KC VF-1... Quote

Forgot to mention that oddly enough some parts of the video when he is transforming the toy are just reversed parts of the original record. Look at 1:28 when he is opening the feet to transform from fighter to gerwalk mode Quote

But reverse footage totally makes sense now. Quote

jvmacross Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Kitz Concept just invoiced me for the Standard Regult with Glu-Ger fig.... Quote

sh9000 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Cool. I think I'll finally put my order in for a Regult today. Quote
MKT Posted June 8 Posted June 8 The Battle Pod being ready to ship is quite a surprise, but in a good way I guess. Still no sight of Max figure progress.. or even an early sculpt of Miriya. Quote
jvmacross Posted June 8 Posted June 8 It's odd that they just suddenly requested payment...especially since they have not revealed anything about the final mold of either the figure or the Regult...for a while it seemed there were non-stop videos and it's been radio silence now for a while...hopefully they turn out ok...for some reason I feel it'll be 2 fixed-posed figs...one standing up and another in seated position...guess we'll find out soon enough... Quote
Corrinald Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I got an invoice for mine too. Generally I have stopped pre ordering anything from them since. It's been what, 3 years since the initial order for the heavy armor set? If that ever releases I will have some faith again Quote
jvmacross Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Hopefully, someone in China will post up some pics or video of the Regult....I am actually more curious to find out what they eventually did with the Gluu-Ger fig than the actual Regult.....I haven't felt this much anticipation for a Macross release in a long while...LOL Quote
Stampeed Valkyrie Posted June 11 Author Posted June 11 I've put the brakes on everything KC until they catch up, they no longer respond to email and everything ends up "Shocking" so no more pre-orders. I thought the out of the blue invoice for the Regult was odd as well, but hopefully that means they are moving forward. Quote

Ditto! If I ever again feel the urge to pre-order anything from them, I'll do it through BBTS. Paying upfront and waiting up to 3 years to get your item (Dana) is for chumps. Quote
jenius Posted June 11 Posted June 11 I didn't get an invoice for my battlepods... Should I be concerned? Shows as "processing" in my order history. Quote
Pontus Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I will not be ordering anything directly through KC anymore! I saw your reports of getting invoices yesterday and checked my account. As @jenius noted, it just says "processing" in my account. Anyone with an open order should check your spam, old emails, etc. I got mine on the 8th of June. I have long since changed my email with Kitz, and I just checked to make sure... both my login and my email on file are current. But on the off chance, I checked my now long dormant old email (fortunately still active amazingly), and waddaya know, there's the invoice! So I paid it, and went to recheck my account at Kitz site, still says processing and no record of payment being made or request to pay any invoice in ANY section of my account. Are these invoices we're getting a scam?! If KC can't keep track of simple email changes, let alone PAYMENTS, I. am. done. Unfortunately, I'm still on the hook for Max, but if I thought I could get a refund without a huge hassle and go through BBTS instead, I certainly would. Quote
jenius Posted June 12 Posted June 12 (edited) Maybe the invoices are going out by order date, I still don't have one and I checked all my inboxes to be safe. W00t, it just arrived... but definitely confirm what you get. My billing address was in Hong Kong (which isn't correct) and my shipping address is probably the first address I ever registered on their site and hasn't been relevant for three years. The shipping address on the invoice wasn't even active when I placed my order so where they pulled it from is a real mystery. I emailed them and asked them to update it. I'll also see if I can expedite the shipping so I can get a review up sooner than later but that might be asking too much. I think KC should shut down their web store... it's in bad need of an update and not inspiring confidence. Edited June 13 by jenius Quote
sh9000 Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Preordered the Regult on Saturday and received the invoice last night. All paid for now. I'll probably see it in October. Quote
