IIRC,  there were no changes in markings on the pre-order page so I'm not expecting them to go there.

i saw on their vidéo.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't check that out. Way to go KC for making the extra effort. Maybe the future has light and heavy artillery pods sold separately. If they go that route, they really ought to include the extra standard head lasers with each one and make them just a tad more expensive then the regular unit.

I agree 😌

KC has launched the Kickstarter campaign.

Unexpectedly, the Gluu-ger & various other Zentraedi figures are part of this.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kitzconcept/kitzconcept-the-series-of-macross

you know..  this reeks of desperation.    I'm gonna pass on all of it.     Some good stuff here,  but they still haven't produced what they already took money for...     Caveat Emptor..

KC doesn't need a Kickstarter...customers were already giving them money to secure PO's...this worked until they stopped delivering PO items on a timely basis....how will doing the same thing via Kickstarter change this?

Also....does this mean they will not produce and deliver on the Regult pilot figs unless there is a Kickstarter that funds their release?

I guess I'm out....and can only hope to get what I have PO'd via a deposit at some point....but not feeling very optimistic that will happen before they go out of business....

So if the Kickstarter goal isn't met....they won't release any of what is being shown?  Very dissapointing...

I have so many questions about how that Kickstarter could even work... Feels like they should do one item at a time and have at least a proposed delivery date. They should also start with an easy to deliver item to build trust.

As far as I can remember, I don't think they have teased the Spartan....looks great....would definitely buy all of them if they were to be released "normally"....even by KC's standards of normal release schedules....

As it stands....there is no way I would commit any more money to KC....let alone close to 600 USD for the "possibility" of KC coming through with everything they have listed as a Wave 1 release...323 USD for the Mechs and 258 USD for all figures....

NOPE.....

KC has officially gone of the rails of the crazy train!

Randy Rhoads was totally amazing in those days and is definitely the kinda guy that’s missing from music in this century. And I really do hope Ozzy is gonna somehow pull through and go on for another century.

But $600 is definitely a lot for toys. But at least they are better toys than what they usually produce

Well, going by the Regult, all of the other non-tranforming mechs would likely be very good....I hope I am wrong, but I have a bad feeling none of them will see the light of day, unless they give up on this Kickstarter nonsense....

No way in hell I'm jumping in on this unless they're guaranteed to hit the target mark.  I think I'd be in for every figure if they hit the mark. Their battle pod was amazing.

FWIW....sent them a 'polite' email letting them know that it is difficult for me to support a kickstarter for more items (no matter how great they look) when they have yet to deliver or even update on the release of existing POs....as of now I have the following PO deposits with them with essentially no update on any of them except the Battlepod Artillery attachments (and TBH, that is just based on recent posts that they are being released at some point)...

1/72 MACROSS ZENTRADI-TWO SPECIAL EDITION ARTILLERY BATTLEPOD

1/72 VF-1A MIRIYA & MAX Metal Special Edition with an additional 1/12 MIRIYA figure

1/72 MACROSS ZENTRADI GLUU-GER (REGAULT) PREORDER DEPOSIT X 3

1/72 HEAVY ARMOUR RICK HUNTER- PREORDER DEPOSIT

I have asked for release updates on these items and told them I cannot commit to additional PO's until I receive what I already have on PO...or at minimum some realistic timeframe of when they are to be released.

I specifically requested the status of the Zentran pilots which were advertised to be included during the initial Battlepod PO....or whether their release is now entirely contingent on their Kickstarter Project meeting it's pledge goal...

I doubt they will respond, but I will follow-up if they do.

Yeah, if they release their battlepods and gbps, then did this, it would have been met with more goodwill.

I also think having the Kickstarter just be the scout pod or pilot figures would have been much better.

Poor Cyrus, this is a lot for one guy trying to manage.

The KC Kickstarter would need to add $4250 each day for the next 28 days to meet its funding goal....I don't belive it is a realistic goal....

I have been told that the Zentradi figures sold via the initial Regult PO's will come at some point and are not tied to the success of the Kickstarter....I have no choice but to take their word on this....

If the recently released Regult is any indication...their NON-TRANSFORMING Macross mecha should be incredible....I really hope they eventually see the light of day....but for now I am in too deep on promised and unreleased KC items to throw more cash their way....I truly hope they can at least get to the figures...with or without Kickstarter...

At least if this doesn't work out they can easily come back with another, much more specific kickstarter, hopefully after they ship the toys they've already done POs for. I would love to see what Cyrus could do with all these designs.

Very tempting as I would love to get the Glaug, weathered Battle Pod, and Recon Battle Pod. Seems like non transforming stuff is definitely their strength. But like so many others here, I have a handful of paid POs that are waiting to be fulfilled. The Heavy Armor / GBP I paid for *years* ago. Kinda hard to give them more money. Still, I am debating it. That's a very lofty goal they have

Posted

I wish them luck, seems very ambitious though.  I hope they don't need the KS money to complete the things people have already ordered.  If they do make the Glaug, I'll get one but I'm not preordering it, I still haven't gotten my Pod preorder from BBTS yet.  I hope they're not waiting for the figures to be made before shipping the pods to BBTS.  Maybe I should cancel with BBTS and get the figure-less pod direct from KC's website?

If the kickstarter doesn't happen, I hope they put the weathering edition Battlepod up for PO. That seems like an easy one to get out there and make some more money.
