PNW_Sweetie Posted September 19 Posted September 19 So my pre-order is thru BBTS If this thing doesn’t come with the pilot, and I’m not really confident that it will, does that mean I’m out of luck even if BBTS’s product description says so? Part of me pre-ordering this thing was because it had an articulated pilot. Hi btw, long time lurker and collector, 1st post here Quote

Any explanation included in the packaging or a separate letter inside the shipping box? Nope. I took it back out again just to verify, no mention of a pilot or pictures in the instructions either. All the diecast is in the legs, and do articulate.. more then I expected. Inside is very well detailed, I don't see it being big enough for a figure.. ***UPDATE*** so looking at my orders on KC website, this order is listed as partially shipped. as the order does include a figure. Hi btw, long time lurker and collector, 1st post here If I had to guess, BBTS will add an order for a Battlepod Pilot figure and mark it as paid into your inventory. The part that will screw you is that you will need to pay for shipping whenever its available. Quote

Thank you much for the reply, After receiving two VF’s on the literal slow boat from China, and now with the missing pilot, this might be my last purchase from Kitz Edited September 19 by PNW_Sweetie Quote

KC has so much potential but its run like a bunch of grandmas at a flea market booth. The mold is Ok if they just upscaled it to 1/35, added better thicker plastic, more metal for balance and created great packaging they could really go places. No one can blame you for a last purchase they deserve the criticism. Quote

locidm Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Mine came in today. Pretty nice figure. Very hefty. Nice paint apps and the cockpit details are unbelievable. I tried fitting in different small figures I have handy. The 3” voltron pilot is too big and doesn’t have the needed articulation to fit. The Baikanfu figure from Sentinel (back in 2017) just barely fits. The HMR Votom figure is way too small. Quote
locidm Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) Couple more to show articulation Edited September 23 by locidm Quote
jenius Posted September 23 Posted September 23 It looks great. I've never been sold on the cockpit or the idea of the pilot and KC is just confirming all my suspicions. Quote
sh9000 Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I ordered mine not too long ago but that's nice of them to upgrade the shipping. Quote
jvmacross Posted September 24 Posted September 24 (edited) I would still want a Zentran pilot even if it is fixed pose...I would have no issue with it as a secondary figurine that would come with a fully articulated Zentran Pilot in their 6" line.... Edited September 24 by jvmacross Quote

Yeah, they upgraded the shipping on mine too and they are on the way, pretty they did for everyone due to the long wait....did you place your order prior to the 'no figure' listing they have now? Yes. I placed my order in June with the Zentraedi figure listed with the Battlepod. Quote
Slave IV Posted September 24 Posted September 24 (edited) Fine, I'll also post here too even though it also says "Macross" on the box. Ok, I’m messing with my KC Regult now and here’s my initial impressions: Looks fantastic, we all knew that already though. The size and heft is substantial… there is a lot of diecast, especially in legs. The amount of weight in the legs means any sustained flight poses probably won’t work or be a good idea. There is even a warning in the instructions that you should keep the knee joints straight when storing the figure. Not sure what that even means even though they supply a picture, it’s not clear to me but I suppose keeping them pushed in like they come stock would suffice. Good thing there is no flight stand for this thing anyways, lol. There are ratchet joints in the hips, thrusters and feet. They are the loose, sloppy style as opposed to nice, precise ratchets found on better quality toys. Should do the job though. Other joints are friction and have nice tolerance. The head lasers feel particularly smooth. There are at least four separate battery compartments and switches… annoying and possibly to the point where I will never even bother with any of them. Much, much better than their Valks but we all expected that too. Doesn’t feel as good as the HMR and you can tell this is a KC product in comparison to something Arcadia or Bandai would make but still really good and I’m glad I have one. Also glad I didn’t bite on their promotion to get a couple more with the missile packs although I wouldn’t mind picking some up later at a discount if possible. Right now, I’m just glad I have one and look forward to getting the figure that fits inside. Here’s a quick pic with a 1/72ish Valk: Oh, I forgot to take a pic and mention the removable leg panels earlier so here’s a pic showing that nearly useless feature that I still appreciate having: Edited September 24 by Slave IV Quote

I ordered mine YEARS ago, and I still haven't gotten any tracking. Oh wait, they can't keep track of email changes despite it being my main login... nope, nothing in my old email. Let's check my account... OH, it says "partial shipped" on the 15th of Sept. That's great, nice of them to let me know... wait, where's the tracking? No tracking, so MAYBE mine will finally show up on my doorstep one of these days (sans figure of course). Quote
jenius Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I finally got an updated invoice and paid for mine. They wanted an additional $90 for expedited shipping so boat it is. Quote
jvmacross Posted September 27 Posted September 27 (edited) So finally received my Regults.... Scale comparison with a Kitz Concept 1/72 VF-1.... As others have stated....it has a very nice heft to it....joints holds well enough, the tampo is excellent...especially the cockpit which normally no one will ever see on a display....I think the Scale looks good, at least with a KC....haven't compared to other VF-1's like those from HMR, Yamato, or ThreeZero... Sadly, the second coolest feature, topped only by the fact of its existence....the lighting gimmick...I was not able to test because none of my Regults came packed with the button cell batteries always supplied by KC with their Macross toys... I may have some that keep for Hallmark ornaments....so if I can find some I'll post some more pics...otherwise I may need to grab some from another KC toy... Overall, I am glad I bought these and look forward to the missile types....but so far KC has gone radio silent on the progress or decision on the promised Zentradi pilot for these figures.... Oh...one more thing...a big thanks to KC for "fixing" my Max and Kakizaki by sending me the correct tampo'd legs...had to wait until I had something for them to ship me before they could bundle them in a package....much appreciated KC! jvmacross Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Found some batteries... Blown away by the black light gimmick....the pics don't do it justice... All I can say it KC can do a great job with non-transforming Macross mechs...imo...this Regult is KC's best Macross release so far....I hope this wasn't their swan song because they can probably do an amazing job with the Destroids and their teased Glaug....hope they can get their act together.... Big s Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I never realized that the regult pilots were total stoners. No wonder they got really into the whole music thing Quote

Pontus Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Got mine today. Very nicely done... other than powering the lights with 4 different battery sockets! And I love the instructions, "insert the batteries according to the instructions." These ARE the instructions ffs! And WHAT batteries?! They don't say what model to use anywhere that I can see. Does anyone know? I think I'll rewire it for USB power some day. As for scale, I bought it to match 1/100 instead of getting HMR because I feel like 1/72 regults match HMR valks better (and cheaper). I was already planning to build the bandai kit, but since I had super custom plans for that (a purple stealth sniper) this is really great to have a proper regult. But as the pics above show, it does seem a bit large for HMR (which isn't really 1/100). Happy to have it finally tho regardless. Quote
