Takatoku Toys Paro Mecha - Parody Animation Mechanics - Battroid Valkyries - Set of all 4

VF-1J Hikaru, VF-1S Roy, VF-1J Max, and VF-1J Milia - each has a two step transformation from Battroid to Fighter and back...no Gerwalk mode....in fighter mode, it has a pull-back action that allows the tiny valk to "dash" across your desk on small rubber wheels!

These Paro (Parody Animation Mechanics) Valkyries were among the last toys released by Takatoku before going out of business.  They were produced along with the Hi-Compact Models.  Unfortunately, the HCM did not get a chance to be released under the Takatoku brand and instead was picked up by Bandai and released after Takatoku went BK.

Another interesting factoid regarding these "Paro" toys is that Takatoku had developed a "Paro" type Orguss Orgroid, but that toy just dissapeared after Takatoku folded.

Great artifacts as as always.

Would love to have a Paro Orguss.

Have you ever found a Paro Orguss in your obscure searches?

No, it never was released.  I am surprised though.  It looks like a full prototype was made....guessing the molds for it never got done before TT went BK...guessing Mark probably would have been involved with that since they released the Macross Paros via Selects Convertors line.  As far as I know, there was no Paro Orgroid in that line either.  So it's basically a toy lost forever....with the proto stored in some Japanese collector's toy dungeon!

*Sidenote.....Looking through my magazines...I think this toy received a mention in the Figure Oh issue covering the release of Bandai's DX VF-1J....I'll post a pick of the small blurb about it if I am recollecting it correctly

So this is the issue of Figure Oh that mentions the Paro Orguss Orgroid.....

....and the mention about the Paro from Orguss - オーガス -at the bottom of the text that was to be released...

....they probably should have also added a pic of it since they apparently (p.43) had access to it via the Takatoku Toys Hobby and Toy booklet Vol 2...

Just a side note.

Some company in Taiwan decided to oversize these. Just not sure of exactly when. But all signs currently point to late 80s early 90s. And yes the heads and weapons on these are from Transformers jumpstarters.

But of course. I got rid of my Paro Valkyries and needed a quick reference. Without a ruler reference I had no idea just how oversized these were. 😜
