derex3592 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 My eardrums hurt from just thinking about this in a Dolby Cinema... Quote

It really does, but it also looks fun. I have no doubt it’s gonna be the dumbest thing I’ll see this year. Some people are all in on fast and furious others will watch any crappy Godzilla, I guess I’ll be in the stupid Jurassic park sequel group Quote

Sure it's terrible at trying to be a Godzilla film to the point Toho has officially declared it a seperate monster mistaken for Godzilla, but on it's own it's a pretty fun remake of Beast From 20,000 Fathoms. My problem with this film is that the original Jurassic Park had this perfect blend of horror, adventure, and sense of scale & wonder that made it special. This sequel just feels more like stupid people doing stupid things that puts them in positions to get eaten by dinosaurs with no weight to them. In Godzilla terms it's like going from the 1954 original to the 70s Godzilla Vs Megalon. Quote

TangledThorns Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 IGN gave it a 7 so no surprise. At this point I think they should remake the original that follows the Michael Crichton books much more closely. They can even break it up into multiple films if they want to milk it. https://www.ign.com/articles/jurassic-world-dominion-review Quote

Although a new take on the franchise might be a really good thing. Maybe even something like a higher budget streaming series that like you said, sticks closer to the books. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Saw it yesterday, not bad average . Run & hide. Quote
Thom Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 It was alright. The previous one was better. It was nice seeing the characters again, especially the ones from the original, but it felt too forced in places and just didn't flooooooow. Not bad certainly. It was an entertaining popcorn flick, which this kind of movie should aspire to be better than. My advice to the main actors, when they come around again with another script - pass. Maybe the girl who played Maisie could take over in a few years, with some time for a good script to gestate. Quote
TangledThorns Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 It's on PRIME, watched it last night and glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater. Stupid mashing of different action genres and kinda cringe. Hope they end it here and do a remake that is closer to the original books. Quote
