Agent ONE Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 From the end of the main forum page: "We have 1501 registered members" That rocks. How many did we have on the old board? Mods: I thought this was newsworthy, however wasn't sure where to put it so maybe it should be moved, or maybe it isn't important at all. Quote
Agent ONE Posted January 22, 2004 Author Posted January 22, 2004 Somewhere over 3,000. Well... 1500 isn't bad considering we just restarted. It shows that we didn't have many bogus members that just signed up to post once and then vanish. Quote
mbs357 Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 That is quite a bit. When you're one of the very few places for fans of something so big to unite, and with such an obvious name...this happens. ;] Quote
JB0 Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 About 1200 of them are the voices in my head. Quote
dr_vandermeer Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Cool! Sure seems like a lot to me, but how does 1,500 compare with other related fan sites? I wonder... Quote
Hurricane29 Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 We will be back to our old size soon. Quote
Duke Togo Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Alot of those might have been old names, or doubles of posters who switched names. Quote
Aegis! Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 did I mention I tried to register 1400 times before making my mind about my member name ? Quote
UN Spacy Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 About 1200 of them are the voices in my head. Really? I thought that was the Borg.....uh I meant Yamato drones muttering RESISTANCE IS FUTILE. Quote
Isamu Atreides 86 Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 1500? it seems like there's not that many of us here on a regular basis. oh well. let the riff raff get out the way... Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 If you were ever bored and browsed through the member lists at the old board, over half (some pages it'd be like 80%) had 0 or 1 posts ever, or hadn't posted in over a year. The "active" members are about the same I think. Quote
Skippy438 Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Yeah ... it's really weird that I feel like such a part of this community even though for the most part I only check posts a few times a day and rarely post myself ... maybe I should work on that Quote
Toonz Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 may macrossworld live on and increase in numbers! Quote
Nightbat Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 3400+ I think. Which we would've had by now, only most of them were banned already ...well,... that and A1's Doorknobs (J/K peeps) (when we reached 1000, I checked the # of posts and only 1/3 of them were active) Quote
Agent ONE Posted January 22, 2004 Author Posted January 22, 2004 Alot of those might have been old names, or doubles of posters who switched names. Yeah, that is what I thought too. Quote
pfunk Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 uh,,,congrats to us, seriuosly, Ive been on many car sites and 4x4 sites. Most of those people dont want to hear about models and mecha, let alone macross/robotech. They dont welcome visitors that well and many thier are just clicks of poeple that have the same belief or opinion. I like the variety of people we have here, from one spectrum to another and all geeks ,,,jk on the geek part kinda Quote
